I've always thought that as long as a player shows loyalty, commitment and determination, he would go down well with Newcastle fans, even if they weren't the next Pele. He has gone down in my estimation as a person.

As far as I'm concerned, Owen doesn't want to be here, so he should just bugger off and let us sign a replacement. The thoughts of Dyer moving to Chelsea is hilarious, but the story doesn't seem to go away. I'd absolutely love it if he moved to Chelsea or Tottenham.

I think most fans of any club would welcome him with open arms. He is quite likely to demand a high fee, but with Ashley at the helm, it will be a fee that we can afford. I don't think we should be looking at trophy players until the defence is sorted out, though.
