Didn't Chelsea once inquire about him Are you confusing me with Freddy Shepherd? Are you fat with pneumonia? No, but I do like my pies.

Did you think of this idea yourself?

I remember him playing very well as a centre back against West Ham when we beat them 2-0 away last season.
-
Do you mean an ice lolly or a wank? They get the choice.

Ahead of Ashley Cole? If that's what he said then it's obvious he's happy collecting his wage packet and medals he hasn't earned rather than playing regular 1st team football. Sadly, that can be said about a lot of Chelsea players. I'm looking at Sidwell and Ben-Haim.

I'm pretty sure there was a rumour that Bridge wouldn't leave because he believes he'll be the first team left-back next year. Deluded or what?
-
He'll end up playing down here in the Jersey league for £10 and a minnie milk per week.

Yay, we'll lose Babayaro! It is quite interesting that we're constantly being linked with the same people, so there is probably some truth in the rumours. I would have expected the papers to have moved on to us making audacious bids for Ronaldhino and Alessandro Nesta.

I'm just wondering, but is there a waiting list for a season ticket at Newcastle? I hope to go to Uni somewhere near Newcastle and I'd then look into buying a season ticket. Cheers.

We already have enough 'trophy' players that play football that is easy on the eyes. Sam is bringing some grit, power and determination into our squad.

I went to school with Dean Cauvain.

He is too slow to ever make it in this game.
-
He would be a very useful player who would feature in around 40 games in a season without Europe. By 'feature' I include substitute appearances as well.

The Dugout's forum (www.thedugout.tv) has a good off-topic section, but the FM forums are becoming poorer by the day.

I thought it was an excellent signing when I thought he would be free, but now that it's £2m, I'm thinking it's more of a good/decent signing.
-
The big sides don't want him because he is shit and the small sides don't want him because his wages are too high, and he is shit.
-
He is saying nothing to suit himself. If he had declared that he wanted to leave, but then nobody came in for him, how do you think he would be treated here? Not very well. However, if he says nothing, whatever happens, he wins.

Where has Owen said that he does want to be here?
-
He "would not mind" staying here for a couple of years? A bad thing to say, especially to Newcastle fans. I've always thought that as long as a player shows loyalty, commitment and determination, he would go down well with Newcastle fans, even if they weren't the next Pele. He has gone down in my estimation as a person.

As far as I'm concerned, Owen doesn't want to be here, so he should just bugger off and let us sign a replacement. The thoughts of Dyer moving to Chelsea is hilarious, but the story doesn't seem to go away. I'd absolutely love it if he moved to Chelsea or Tottenham.

I think most fans of any club would welcome him with open arms. He is quite likely to demand a high fee, but with Ashley at the helm, it will be a fee that we can afford. I don't think we should be looking at trophy players until the defence is sorted out, though.
