Beat me too it! haha Go on smudger son!!! Just need him to score now!
-
He has been quiet today tbf. Good football from the lads there for nolans goal! 2-0
-
Well realistically, it's only Forest and WBA. If Cardiff win all their games, they are on 94 pts (the most of any of the other teams apart from the top 3). It seems if we get to 95pts, we will be safe in promotion. Well yes but the more we move away from the chasing 4 the less people will doubt or worry about promotion...and in turn the more we can concentrate on winning this league as well as promotion.
-
At half time non of the chasing 4 are winning! Forest 0-0 Boro Derby 0-0 Swansea Cardiff 0-2 Barnsley Plymouth 1-1 Leicester Happy if it stays like that but i would love it if Derby, Boro and Plymouth could score a goal.

1-0 Half-time. Pretty poor game, pretty poor perfomance...thankfully PNE arent anything special. Sounds like Parkin is sniffing around our goal so Williamson and Coloccini need to be on guard in the second half. Nolan sounds busy and is creating the odd chance through the middle, Smith battling hard and almost scored, Gutierrez gradually getting into the game but Guthrie has gone quiet out on the right. Carrol has had a few good chances by the sounds of it so i fancy him to get one second half, Best has sounded useless. We have to pick up the pace and start turning the screw, if our strikers arent going to move into space and create openings we need to rely on service from midfield! Use simpson on the overlap with guthrie, the two combined can proved crosses. Guttierez to just run run run with the ball down the left, and Nolan to lurk around outside the area. The game is there for the taking...lets hope we come out 2nd half fired up!
-
Smith with an absolute screamer of a shot...BLOCKED Williamson good header on target...Williamson infact has had a few chances today! Bit of pressure!
-
Fuckin hell just seen Everton tonked ManUre 3-1 hahaha Mackems getting beat off Arsenal...they've not won in 12 league games!! They are in trouble!
-
After the goal we havnt really troubled them as of yet, Gutierrez needs to get into the game more, maybe that knock he picked up early on has made him wary. Now that we got two big lads upfront neither of whom are the most mobile we need to start going a bit more direct, get guthrie on the ball down the right for early crosses. Nolan actually sounds like he is having a decent game mind!
-
Lovenkrands lob top corner...smith made it! 1-0
-
Routledge is out with a calf injury ffs so smith comes back into the side and guthrie out on the right. Lop sided midfield again...not so confident now tbh...totally changes our game imo. Lets just hope that Guthrie can take his form from the last game onto the right flank today and bombard Preston with loads of balls from down the right and Jonas running like fuck at the defence on the left. 2-1 Harper, Simspon, Williamson, Colocini, Van Aanholt, Guthrie, Nolan, Smith, Gutierrez, Carroll, Lovenkrands. Welbeck and the beats Parkin starting upfront for PNE.
-
I hope Hughton doesnt change things but with 2 games in a week and the fact we hardly ever field the same starting line-up in two consecutive games id imagine a couple of changes. Maybe Nolan rested for Smith.... Best or Lovenkrands... Hall for Williamson... Hope its the same side as against Coventry though and we go at them from the off! 3:0 Carrollx2 and Guthrie
-
Absolutely spot on! If Smith can get back his early season form him and Guthrie would be a pretty good CM pairing. Its all about partnerships all over the pitch and we have, and could se a few more developing with a fully fit squad. Enrique & Jonas down the left. Simspon & Routledge down the right. Taylor & Coloccini or Willamson in defence. Smith & Guthrie in the engine room. Carroll & Lovenkrands upfront.

Class where u get that tom? Anyone at the match...what was Routledges goal like?
-
I disagree completely! He is our captain and if anyone in the side has the right to speak up about our tactis it is him...and rightly so! As a CM he see's play from the heart of it and he would be the first to admit he has been shit recently but that in part, a major part has been down to Hughtons tactics. Im all for the lad speaking up and telling Hughton his tactics are fuckin wank....if of course he actually did! Why should he have the right to speak up about tactics? He's fucking gash. Just because he's the captain, does that mean he knows anything about management or selection? He's always been that way though, running off his mouth like he's been here a hundred years and was born in a manger in North Shields and is a local heeeeero like. That alleged strangulation of Beye is a great example. Here's a shit central midfielder whose primary attribute is shouting and the collection of yellow cards accusing someone of lacking the fight and not caring about the club. Well, I don't know about you but I don't think Beye's commitment was questionable while he was with us, he always looked up for it and he was actually good unlike Smith, and he cared about the club as shown by his reaction to the red against Man City. If he wanted to leave after we got relegated, I don't think there's many that could blame him, and if there are I don't think Alan Smith is one of them. He needs to prove on the pitch that he has the right to talk first and although he made a good show of it in most of the first half of the season, he's become complacent lately and maybe being dropped is just what he needs. Absolute fuckin bollox and you know it is fella! He is the fuckin captain...what is a captaincy for? Its a link between management and the team...he is the one player who HAS the right to speak up, more-so than local lads Carroll and Taylor. As for him being shit...there is argument either way...he is combatant, leads the team and works hard...yet recently he has been one of our worst performers. He certainly isnt the shit midfielder you make out but in the same token he isnt a world beater neither...best DM we have...i Iv met him and spoke to him a few times in newcastle and in leeds and he isnt the knob ur making out.
-
Were you at the match? Nahh mate just listened on the radio...just my judgement of how it sounded. Lol maybe because i listened to it, it seemed he was a 9...ran our midfield....but then again Mick Lowes and Jon Anderson to big things up too much.
-
Comeback of the comeback kings? I was confident before the game and the boys duelly delivered. Got knocked down with Coventry's goal but we got back up and got at them, kept the ball well, passed it well of which Guthrie was our standout player! Not one bad player on the pitch and a very good win. Harper: 7 Didnt need to do much. Van Aanholt: 6 Quiet but steady. Simpson: 6 Solid, got forward...need to get back in box from deep more. Coloccini: 8 Rock...composed. Williamson: 7 Another good showing. Gutierrez : 8 Scared the shit outa coventry's defence...few great balls in box. Routledge: 8 In and out of the game but scored an important goal at an important time...25 yard volleyed screamer at 1-1..GOOD LAD! Guthrie: 9 Hungry, showed for ball all night and used it well. Nolan: 6 Didnt hear his name much. Carroll: 8 Could of had a hattrick...needs to work harder though. Lovenkrands 7 Didnt do alot but scored penalty. Best: 6 Nothing of note Raylor: 7 Scored...thats it. Pancrate: 5 Sloppy but assist?
-
Raylor scuffed shot 4-1. Thats us with a better GD...Good stufff!
-
I wouldnt cast judgement on a person on here unless they were extremely annoying or extremely sound. People id have a pint with are... The fish Alex 2bias ArmchairPundit Parky Stevie Off the top of my head...
-
Yeah i looked at that just there. Weve scored 52 (33@ Home) and WBA 62 (31@ Home) Weve conceded 22 (7@ Home) and WBA 32 (15@ Home) Put simply we are better at home and WBA are better away...this...could be our undoing unless we can find some form on our travels.

I had Fish for tea!!
