  1. Remembering defensive prowess a year after the event is very difficult, compared to remembering a mazy dribble resulting in a goal though. He was absolutely magnificent in some games last season, playing like a 30 year old rather than a 20 year old, he had a spell in February where he was our best player defensively imo, and certainly against Man City when they basically won the title, he was absolutely outstanding against one of the best 4 or 5 sides in Europe. The kid is 20 years of age, he's a brilliant defender I think, and I honestly don't think he is amazing going forward, he's better than Simpson at it but he's nee Cafu, he's a good defender and for someone of that age to look as comfortable as he has in the Champions League, and now in the Premier League, I think he's an absolute gem who is only going to get better.
  2. You will never be relevant, even if you bought the toon and spent £1bn buying Ronaldo and Messi for us, I'd still think that boring nazi looking racist cunt. Ignored. J69 if I said you were good looking you'd say no I'm an ugly cunt. 80% of twitter say similar things about Lee Ryder, you're another one who needs to pipe down. My message to you is, as it was five years ago, when you've got nothing to say (most of the time) say fuck all.
  3. Aye but last season if you won, you could just queue at the end of the game and get your pay out.
  4. Saturday was one of the first times ever I didn't place one, what's the crack like can you not just write your bet out and collect it after the game if it wins?
  5. Heard lots of similar reports particularly from games down the JJB. The job is too big for him in my view, and as JawD said he seems to be a the point of breaking lately, he's ultra defensive and a journalist really needs thick skin. Poor Louise Taylor is more cut out for the job, she's still standing after an entire fanbase getting on her case (deservedly in some cases). Even his body langauge on fancam doesn't seem right.
  6. No he can be called a superb signing, we signed him for £5m and there have already been enquiries about him with far greater figures quoted than that. He was very good towards the back of the season, you can't expect a 20 year old kid to be up to the pace of the Premiership 5 games in, he got better and better, he'll play for games for Italy and his next club will be Juve, Inter or Milan. People who attend games will have been able to see his progress better than people who don't go.
  7. Geordies are spoilt rotten to be honest, if you can't grow up here and not in to a decent human being you're a wrongun by birth.
  8. You get out to Northumberland and Vindolanda mate, absolutely amazing seeing the wall over there, people from this region barely know it's there, everyone should see it, it's part of our heritage.
  9. He had a role in Auf Wiedesehen Pet as well, he set about Moxey and Oz chinned him iirc, then he nearly ended up working with them in Spain.
  10. The Spender tune was absolutely mint, I loved Spender. "Stick" was as good as Jimmy Nail, I think Stick died of cancer too
  11. I was in Spender too, I walk behind Jimmy Nail to my seat in the Milburn, when he's there against Ipswich.
  12. Cisse; “We try play a good match, get wins & we are happy. But the fans are happier. That makes us happier”. Cisse; “I think without the supporters we wouldn’t be anything. That’s what I think. We try to give them pleasure back through the match”. Cisse on English; “It’s not about confidence. I try to speak, even if what I say is wrong. I like to be corrected. That’s how I’ll learn”. Cisse; “Scoring a goal in football is the most beautiful thing. I’m proud to be an attacker”. Cisse on target for this season; “To surpass 13 goals & the rest, the rest will come on it’s own. We’ll see where we arrive”. Cisse; “I try to watch those goals all the time & concentrate on the actions, to find shots. I try to refind the feeling of those movements” Cisse on 13 goals last season. “Yeah, yeah, I’m proud. My goal was to settle in quickly & find shots. So I kind of succeeded” Cisse on what would make a good season; “Lots of hard-work & to collaborate with the rest of the team. Progress in the competition(EL)” Cisse on music; “I like Senegalese music. Steven Taylor plays his in changing room. It’s good, yeah, & important to be together as a team” Cisse on goal scoring; “You can’t think about it. You can’t force goals. All strikers will tell you, it comes natural. You can’t force it”. "I saw a young boy with his mam on the verge. I stopped & said hey, that’s my shirt. He smiled & I said how are you? He was happy”. “It doesn’t cost me anything to smile, to say hello, to sign autographs. To make people happy. It’s important the fans are happy”. Cisse on toughest defender he’s faced; “Liverpool, I don’t know his name. He has tattoo’s & no hair”. (He was referring to Martin Skrtle) “It’s the warmth of the people which makes this City so incredible. It was my dream to play in England and it's a dream to play in this city”
  13. The dog track is funny enough, but they've also put a Sunderland bound train in Kings Cross?!!? PMSL Shall we put a plane in JFK Airport up bound for Newcastle?
  14. One of the best images in Britain, without any doubt. Bamburgh Castle (wors as far as I'm concerned)
  15. 6ft2 and 15st11 doon a little bit lately. 11 more lbs and I'll pipe down.
  16. I'm sorry about that Idioteque, all you can do is just give him as much love as possible, and hope he feels some degree of happiness. Well done last night by the way.
  17. She's a fucking arsehole mate. She shouldn't be a fucking carer, saying things like what sort of life is this for her, my lass was like don't say things like that, "ah she doesn't understand she can't take it in", how the fuck does she know, and even if that's the case she shouldn't say it in front of the bairn. Honestly I don't think I've shed a tear for 10 years, but this proper got to me tonight, I hope her parents give her all the love in the world.
  18. Briefly saw my lass earlier the neet, her cousin was round she's a carer for handicapped children. She looks after different ones when their parents are at work. Well she had this young lass round, she was 15, and couldn't speak couldn't stand up properly. and has to wear nappies. She's 15. She was playing on the grass rubbing her hands through the grass, and looked dead happy, but she's never going to get any better. I'm not soft I'm nearly in tears writing this, I can't get it out me head, people don't know they're born. Such a gentle lass who's gonna need all the love in the world it's so sad though. I don't know what how I'd cope with if I have a child like that.
  19. What do you mean? This cunt didn't sound proper Northern Irish, and Weldy said they all talk like that up there and he was probably catholic based on where he was from. All very amicable though
  20. Tiote to Arsenal the latest crack. That's not off my ITKs just off twitter.
  21. How are they big though? Explain how they're big. They're wonderfully well managed without a doubt, but they make less money than the mackems, average 20,000 less than Newcastle, and their long term future is far from bright and as their fanbase dwindles year by year. Tottenham and Newcastle are significantly bigger than Everton, even though we've both won 10 domestic trophies to their 14. That was a shock last night in my eyes.
  22. They will. It's incredibly naive to judge anything on the opening day of the season. Mind when Villa beat them 3-1 opening day? Man City and them will be the sides battling it out, but I think its Man Utd's.
  23. What 13 miles?!?! Must be a lot of people with Redgrave as a surname. 13 miles?! I rowed across Leazes Park last year (200 yards) and was fucked.
