It's like at school, well my school always saw itself as the best comprehensive on Tyneside, we had pupils who were made "prefects". I was never one, I'd have told them to fuck off if they asked me. Basically their function was to tell tales, keep the peace and set examples. I saw many a good lad behave like a tit because of their new found powers, although I'm not saying this is entirely the same situation.

The England fiasco without doubt had some bearing. They massively overachieved with a side that he built to a degree, dragging them from third bottom to fourth top in 18 months. Chelsea had a better squad last season than Tottenham have now, and he really could not have done a worse job. It took a failed MK Dons manager to sort it out. 7th at best for them this year, we'll see who is right.

Eh?! He won the Europa League with a Champions League quality team. Fair enough they were unbeaten in the league, so fuck. He goes in at Chelsea and gives them their worst start to a season since Dave Beasant was in goal, with Joe Allen up front. He leaves and they win the Champions League. Tottenham will massively underachieve this season and this bloke will last 2 years maximum, top players clearly don't want to play for him, and he changes things to soon.

So what sort of banning is this one, a probationary one? A year long banning? A British life sentence (14 years)? Or a yank one banned with no hope of parole? Through all of this, LM should have been given stringent guidelines as to what the mods thought was acceptable, so we couldn't reach the sad point we're at today.

I think Renton has loads of good points, without arse licking I've used this forum enough to make the assertion that whether it's about football or life in general, Renton is easily one of the top three most intelligent people on this board.
