  1. Suarez is their main goalscorer and he doesn't fucking score. £25m for a bloke who turns and flicks but doesn't score, well he does but it's more or less 1 in 4, borderline flop in my view. 8 league goals in 27 games is piss poor for a £23million striker, hes only laid on 3 as well so hes not providing that much. Defoe there has 10 and hes played mostly as a sub, Fletcher has ten and wolves are horrendous, Van Persie Arsenal 27 Rooney Man Utd 22 Aguero Man City 19 Ba Newcastle 16 Dempsey Fulham 16 Yakubu Blackburn 16 Adebayor Tottenham 13 Balotelli Man City 13 Dzeko Man City 13 Holt Norwich 13 Lampard Chelsea 11 Cisse Newcastle 10 Defoe Tottenham 10 Fletcher Wolverhampton 10 Graham Swansea 10 Hernandez Man Utd 10 Sturridge Chelsea 10 Aye classic Mateja Kezman syndrome.
  2. He was sacked from Spurs too.....there is a school of thought this was after he'd recruited the core of their current side. Off the top of my head I can only think that Bale was one of his.....but am no expert where Spurs transfer dates are concerend. Henderson was one of his and was undoubtedly recruited because of his assist's stats last season which were apparently brilliant. He got Modric, and Prince Boateng in who has developed in to a quality player at Milan, but for all his failings Bale and Assou-Ekoto were inspired. I'd never heard of Assou-Ekoto he's absolutely class, he looks like he enjoys playing too so it's a mystery why he says he's only motivated by the money.

  4. Fever Pitch is a disgrace of a book by the way. I'm in no way against snobby cunts, let them be that way, but they book was truly written by a snobby cunt who should've stayed at Lords or Twickenham or Henley Regatta. He epitomises Arsenal FC.
  5. This review is from: Parklife: A Search for the Heart of Football (Paperback) This an excellent book about football which looks at how the game has developed since the hooligan days of the 70's and 80's to the much improved stadia and glamour of the Premiership. It also exmaines the feeling amongst many fans that the game has lost some of its soul in this transition as well as looking at the continued problems of football violence particularly with regard to the England team abroad. There is also brilliant analysis of the Hillsborough tragedy which will have every decent football fan seething with rage at both the behaviour of the authorities and the tabloid press. Get it, it knocks spots off bloody 'Fever Pitch'. I've read this book and that's a good review, particularly the Hillsborough bit, was more thought provoking than any documentary I've seen on the event. Think it came free with "Four Four Two".
  6. Alex on steroids. You're just perturbed at the prospect of another 'Alpha Male' taking you on tbh.
  7. Temporarily out of stock. Was only one copy ever made like?
  8. The last quote was made up, but he's such a cunt. Why say we could've had Ben Arfa? Anyone could've said that. He's saying the only reason they're here is because they didn't want them. If we get in the top four we'll see who wants to play where you car crash face cunt.
  9. HR: “The boy at Newcastle’s a good player as well, he’s a talent, Ben Arfa. He’s similar, another good little dribbler. #nufc HR: "You can’t take everyone can you? You'd end up with players hanging around, we’ve got good players here so he may not have got in" #nufc HR: "You look at Newcastle they aint a big club, if they get top four any club can, they aint a Tottenham or even an Everton." #nufc
  10. I think he goes missing too often and he's too slow. He's not bad, but say we get in the top four is he really the type of player you want to be first off the bench in midfield? I remember when he had his court case last year and he had to give an income and expenditure form, he was on about 4k a week. That's attractive for Ashley, but he's going to want at least four times that in his new contract, and in my view his tortoise like movement of the ball hinders our play, especially with our counter attacking away from home. He was good against Liverpool because he sat a lot with Tiote and let the other lads get on with it, for me though I won't be shedding any tears when he leaves. I think he's lower Premiership standard, we are no longer lower Premiership.
  11. We've had some shite players down the years, but we've never had anyone with less ability, movement and pace than Ian Rush.
  12. 4 out of 30 signings is a disgusting strike rate, mind. The majority of them were free or for very little to be fair to him and that was to get the bodies in to start up the reserves that Keegan had abandoned. He had a few other decent players like Dabizas and Ketsbaia. Ketsbaia was shite, he was alright off the bench late in games because he was quick, but he couldn't even do it at Wolves and Dundee. Dabizas was great in the air, but shite on the ground, we weren't going to win anything with him. For me Dalglish was the single worst thing that's ever happened to NUFC, the money he wasted here was just incredible, his just get on with it attitude with players too never works with younguns. That was his attitude for Tomasson, who could've been a decent player long term, just get on with it out of position son, he's doing the same with Henderson now. The Andersson, Serrant, Guivarc'h, Brady deals were and are some of the worst footballing decisions ever made.
  13. That's fucking tragic on your part. No wonder they laugh at you lot on an almost daily basis. Tragic? Get a grip. It's just what football fans do. Man U fans themselves were up in arms about it. It shows who the daddies are though, wouldn't happen the other way round. You look at them, like Sunderland look at us.
  14. Aye that's an isolated incident of him making a decent foreign signing though. He's stuck in 1985 I think, thinking British clubs have won 7 of the last 9 European Cups why sign some Carlos Kickaball, he doesn't trust them, and they don't understand his shite accent.
  15. It wasn't just a bus crash, there's nee nice way to die, but that was one of the worst, a lot of them dead people probably knew they were going to die, it's hard even writing it. It wasn't their fault, all this rampaging scousers bollocks, we'd be exactly the same if not worse, in fact I could guarantee you now if we got to the Semi in 1989, we'd have thousands upon thousands of ticketless fans, which evidently Liverpool didn't really have. There's no blame on them for the disaster, I think scousers as people though have a deep rooted victim mentality of injustice, and they have a point in this one case, it's a disgrace a country that prides itself as being the fairest most transparent on earth, has not released these files for 23 years. It's a fucking disgrace. If I was scouse I think I'd probably still feel raw about it.
  16. I think Dalglish instructed Comolli to think British. Looking back over Dalglish's career, he's always bought British, I can't think of one successful foreigner he's ever bought, maybe Henning Berg but he was nee Bobby Moore.
  17. They'll be all over Graham Carr like FLIES ROOND SHITE!
  18. I was just a bairn but I remember watching it at my nana's and when the fire started the Lincoln fans were cheering, that's why I was pleased they went out of the football league a few years later. The Bradford people are a shining example of dignity, for what was an equally horrifying disaster.
  19. I did too, I'm not copying off you, we'll put it down to two cultured minds. See just 2 years ago, they thought Benny would end up at one of your elite 8 clubs eventually, we are lucky to have him. Was it Man City away he beat 3 men in a yard space with one turn, best piece of skill I've seen in years for us, if we can't win anything that is exactly the type of player I am happy paying my season ticket money to watch. Aye, and this when mugs were slating him. Our current stature, he is too good for us, pleasure to have him.
  20. Stand by everything here, down to the Norwegian bit. See Norwegian teams they make Wimbledon 1988 look like Barcelona now. Everything long ball, we had Charles Hughes, they had Egil Olsen, and that's their philosophy and also why Norway will never produce a technically gifted player like Ben Arfa.
  21. Surprised the WPs can't sell out an away game less than 30 mile away. Incomparable to us imo.
  22. Apart from Keegan he was more responsible than anyone for the astonishing commercial revival of Newcastle from a £4m turnover business in 1992, to becoming the world's 5th richest club in 1998. Hope he beats it.
  23. Could have been, I had a black waterproof golf jacket on. Gave up my normal seat in the Leazes for our lass so I was in the gallowgate. Where did you see me? Description of the goal is spot on. Everyone near me was screaming pass as he went up another gear and knocked it in!!! In the Leazes, mustn't have been yee then. I'd love to know where you sit I know it's not far from me, it's all very secretive.
