You should do Tacheback this year then. I'll grow my leg hair. Or start with a small fake tache then gradually put bigger ones on?

Not a fan of people knocking on my door asking for money, but if somebody is asking for sponsorship I am always pleased to chip in (because I'm generally to lazy to do any of the runs etc myself so happy to do my bit if someone else is willing to do the hard bit). I've got a couple of direct debits and make other donations when I see fit, don't go overboard though.

It works on my laptop which is Vista. Just downloaded this at work. Never will I do anything productive again.

Facebewk. Stalkertastic It was a thinly veiled compliment. He likes the Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, Ian Brown, Floyd, etc, really there is evidence to back it up. If he likes Radiohead Jill then you're going to have a problem! We both do. Happy 23rd birthday to me! Tell him he can come with me on Sunday when I go and see them. Done deal... no really he'll go. Don't blame him like. You can be a good girl and make sure the tea is ready for him when he gets back! He cheered at that. What a barsttarrrrrrd.

23 FFS. Definitely starting to feel old. Oh and Alex I'll let that comment slide as I'm based in Heaton now. Heading back to Forest Hall for me tea like. 23 is where it's at man! Heaton is still the shiznit. You can safely retract both comments since I've just been to Echo for a few birthday drinks. I felt fucking ancient. Echo. Don't be like that. Mr alreetlike was at work until 9 so it was the only place we could fit in a few rounds. You should have said I'd have let you use my membership card. Do I get some sort of a discount for that? Or is it just a status symbol. Oh and do they find an extra barrel of Heineken if you have one? I have no idea where it is tbh. It was a good 3 or 4 years ago when I got it. I'm just pleased it's not my birthday anymore or there'd be nowt the matter! PS. Wor lad likes your taste in music. Not sure if that's good or bad from my point of view

They were amazing, except the butterscotch ones which were rank. I LOVE the butterscotch one. I have a packet sitting in my cupboard which a mate bought me a while ago after we'd been talking about it. It was only afterwards that I realised I had nothing to mix it properly with..... but another mate has just given me a cordless blender for my birthday. PS. Fish finger sandwiches are still lush (smothered in ketchup), and the purple Calpol was great back in the day.

Thanks all. Up earlier than usual as I've got to buy some cakes on the way to work. Not sure about this birthday lark like.

On the occasions I go in there it's got to be the bar like, only been in the lounge once in the 2-3 years I've been getting in there and I ended up steaming so I think of it as a bad omen. Know what you mean about the bar though, it does often look as if it could kick off, thankfully it doesn't often (from what I've seen). I just like the shady corner with the arrows, juke box and itbox. PS. You weren't the Freddie Mercury wannabe I saw dancing on the pool table in there once, were you? Blasting out Don't Stop Me Now giving it the full beans.............no sorry wasn't me. Damn, I was going to say I think you should undo just one more shirt button next time.

That's El Chillingham these days. Tapas menu and everything. Fucking hell, I haven't been in there in a while. It might be alright once Spain get raped. It's just embarrassing at the minute though.

Mate of mine has been banging on about the Cumberland recently, can't see the appeal myself though. Went in the Tyne for the first time in ages last weekend, it was alright, but seemed to suffer from all the work going on around it. As for me.. The Chillingham (too many scousers), Echo (too many students), the Hussar (never been in), or The Cornerhouse (alright). Ventured to the Newton today and was in quite a hurry to get out. Hmmmm.

That is a whole new level of grim.

Eww, not pleasant. Mine are far less adventurous - they're fast asleep on cushions at the moment. That is just the BEST way to spend a Friday. Welcome to the forum, newbie. I agree Jill, there's no better way to spend a Friday laying on a nice pair of cushions. Oh 2J, you do tickle me. :icon_lol:
