  1. Aye. Fair play to the lad willing to drop down to get 1st team football. Clearly wasnt good enough from the moment he arrived and perhaps more suited to that division.
  2. aye it is, theres a point in the middle of the the town that says it's the centre. Which it is. Still, dodgy place that like. sort of place you brake down never to be seen again as your car appears on Ebay...
  3. 2 x T Shirts and a HUGE Daddy mug now filled with coffee. Was still up at 6.30am tackling the bairns crap filled nappy like...

Not stuck any up for a while so here are a few from the Coquet Valley in Northumberland after a recent treck out. The first one is a panoramic looking out to the Cheviots (Cheviot being on the left or the horizon) looking north from Otterburn range. My audition for Top Gear Prob my best shot of the day or this one
  5. (from the People, so likely bollocks)
  6. Don't let facts get in the way of a good point
  7. Would be canny like but the club would just break them up the following season.
  8. Whether we spend the £35M or not I dont really mind. If the squad is stronger come the start of the season I'll be happy. By Stronger I mean two decent forwards and any player that leaves is replaced with an improvement. It's very early days but it looks like Cabaye, Ba & Marveaux replacing Nolan, Kuqi and Campbell is good work. The single biggest move for me is still to come and is that of a proven goalscorer. Someone who could get us 15-20 a season. Also possible exits are Enrique and Barton. Both of those would need to be replaced, especially Enrique. If Taylor comes in that will be a welcome move but not a replacement. Centre halfs are also thin on the ground. Taylor and Colo (better fucking stay!) look to be the pairing for next season. Williamson the back up but further strengthening here wouldnt go a miss. The formation it is said will change from 4-4-2 to a more 4-3-1-2. The three in the centre Id assume would be Tiote flanked by Cabaye and Marv or Barton? Maybe they dont expect Marv to see a full season. Who knows. Ben Arfa behind front two of Ba and Shola at the moment? As for the pot, who knows whats in it. £35M from Carroll but what about his wages? If you use 3 years as a standard and £40K a week as an average (for ease). Then the pot should be £41M. Plus Sol, £47M. Plus Nolan £56M. Less Ba £50M, Less Marv £44M, Less Cabaye £33M. Could be less if you include agents fees and that the likes of Sol was on more but shorter contract.

It's one thing Nolan on his way, even Carroll. I'd be well pissed off if this one came to anything. From .com: Finding a settled and steady centre half isn't so easy. Selling him would change my outlook completely.
  10. Plays LW or centre. Also said not to have failed medical but couldn't agree terms with LFC.
  11. No, but I think Ba has signed. how much of the Carroll money has been allowed to the manager so far ? Do you mean how much of it has he spent so far or how much has he to spend all together? So far I reckon £12M or so spent. Ba is a 3 year deal with low wages but high incentives to increase based on goals and games played. Tricky one to calculate. But if it averaged £40K per week then I guess that brings it up to around £18M excluding any agent fees. They "should" add back into this though Nolan (£3M plus £40K wages) which you could argue negates the Cabaye deal to some degree. Then Sol has left as well. Course this is assuming what we shift out the club gets added to the transfer budget. Spin that however you like
  12. Why not just keep adding team names? Bound to be right sooner or later

Can't see the wage being £70K like Andy. Kinda goes against our whole salary cap etc. Nolan left as we wouldnt give him what West Ham are (55k and 5 years iirc). I know a couple of people told you it, but it just doesnt make sense. Also tbf, nearly everyone who has any "itk" stuff at the moment is said to be bullshitting (not you personally). Seems to be the thing this year for some reason, worse than usual. I'll not get into the handbag passing contest
  14. Id love it to happen but could you see our club implementing it?
  15. Never rated Best, if we can get some £££ for him Id be happy to see him leave. Our forwards could pretty much all be replaced tbh, so long as they are replaced like.
  16. I'm bucking the trend then I dont mind, I can have a reasonable discussion with him. Dont agree on a lot of things but I'd not say he's been unreasonable. I tend to think that some here think you are either 100% behind Ashley which means you have to be 100% against Shepherd or visa versa. I'd rather look at facts and some things sway me one way and some things the other. It's not as clear cut as saying one was better one was worse on every subject.
