While he may not excite anyone or even perk anyone's interest, I think he would be a valuable addition to the squad and slot straight in without any "bedding in" period.

Trouble is when one strays, it makes it easier for the other to if they know about it. Doesnt make it right like. For me, it would depend how well I knew the other partner or t he couple as a whole. Generally if I knew them both well, I prob try and talk the one out of doing anything if I was out with them. Generally Id not want to get involved though. Really depends on the couple though and my relationship with them.

Thing is, how do we know we got a second bite? We go in and offer one package, they go to spurs and say Newcastle offered this so you need to beat it, and he would rather live in London. Spurs beat it and he signs. We dont know if he came back to us and said Spurs have beat your offer do you want to increase yours?

Billionaire owner or not, he is running a business and you have to draw a line somewhere. IF (big IF) it was just down to the money then perhaps their valuation crossed a line where we said no more. We cant just guess and say "this is why we lost him". How the fuck do we know? Either way, if we have we have, move the fuck on.

Any of these or a combination of all 3 This is often the way and why we must always pay over the odds (and often get stung with a player on high wages who wont leave). Players want a number of things (often, not always). a. CL Football b. Bright lights of London c. Uefa football d. Money As we can't offer any of a, b, or c at the moment we need to offer enough of d to make up for it. Just depends how badly the player values abc over d or of course if another club offering abc is in for him. This is the reality. I think we need to get used to the fact that we wont be attracting the big players until we push up the table. However, if we can find some young players who have the potential to become bigger players then even better.

Not sure. Ive just checked back over on 24-7 and I joined that site in Feb 02. But, that was the new site. So, sometime before that! When I was looking, I last posted regularly on 24-7 in 2004. In my PMs Ive got one I sent Phil on 24-7 asking about TT and that was dated Aug 03. Ach I've got no idea man.

I see this as the old Toontastic like. I used to post with Phil over on Soccer24-7 before Phil made TT. I then came over here with him when he made it. They we had the dark days of the merger. I posted on NO for a while but very soon got sick of it and I just stopped posting on football forums in general, though did peak back over on 24-7 for a while. I've never got away with Skunkers like or a few of the others. Then when my loafing needs were at their highest, I found my way back here again. I dont have owt against anyone at NO, I just didnt like what it become. Much preferred the laid back TT as we have here and all its Randomness
