Happened to me. I was Fulham, was taken over, the new chairman said to be patient, I won all three of my next games and the 3rd one was a UEFA cup game against Hibs where I beat them 7-1 at home and I still got replaced. That was FM08 so maybe in 2010 it doesn't happen. I always thought it was just a story as well. Never seen this happen.

Might even be worth putting the Wii on for.
