First impressions from me are that he was a bit too OTT on the self-confidence bordering on arrogance I think, and physically he does not look all that fighting fit. The face didn't match the words, but maybe he just hates the press and press conferences. 7/10

Joey Barton has a few 'little problems'. Kin ell Kevin.

Doesn't sound like a decline to me! All down to Shearer I reckon... The key thing was he said, if there is a role for him and if he is right for it.
-
If there is a place for Shearer and he is right for it then he'll ask him. Polite decline imho.
-
Not short on humility is he?

I had no idea Mort was gay.

Fashionably late or stuck in the toilet?

Keegan walked onto the pitch and the rain stopped.

They're all at the ground.

I might go out and get a price on us not losing a home game for the rest of the season.

Obv. didn't pass his interview.

I think they are both covering it. yeah they mentioned it yesterday cant see it at work though so I need to rely on you guys to tell me what happens then I think Talksport are covering it, you can listen live at talksport.net I'll see if five live trail it first. If I can I'd prefer to avoid Talksport. It'll never be taken off the air if people listen to it. I've tried to tune in 3 times over the last couple of days. For a station called Talk fucking Sport there's not much bloody sport being talked about I can tell you.

That sig right there is Ashley at the Stoke game.

Aye, get fat and have his 'fro shaved into the shape of a muff.

I was going off of MOTD really, it seemed like diplomatic speak for, yeah ask me and I'd come.

Sad thing is, if we swapped Owen for Defoe, we would probably still have to give Spurs some money aswell.
-
He's practically said he would come as number 2 as well. Bit daft given all the previous comments about not wanting to move into coaching yet, concentrating on media etc.

After being high as a kite, now every time I remember he's back, I get this wierd feeling in the pit of my stomach. Not sure if it's fear, foreboding, worry, or what. It's getting on my nerves. It's like remembering a bad fight with a lass from long ago. Wierd.

I suppose he's got a link to Southampton. Can't see it though. His family won't wan't to go down there just as much as Redknapp's didn't want to move up here. (Although having said that, isn't Lainya a Southampton girl?) Interesting point. Is Shearer the type to expect his family to uproot and follow him around on the manager merry-go-round? Woould he want to? He must do a lot of flying for MOTD, wasn't there uproar recently about the bills for his taxi fares?

The only downside is if it doesn't produce a trophy this time, the come down post-Keegan could be even worse than last time. But it's exactly like Shearer too, good or bad it needs to be got out of the collective system of this club. He surely couldn't come back a fourth time could he? But then of course we have to deal with Shearer too. Could be disastrous if Keegan flounces out and Shearer tries to hard to rebuild the team a la Dogleash and puts us even further back. Shit, all this is pie in the sky anyway, let's make hay while the sun shines .

I never understood the various claims made in support of him being made manager about motivational skills, man management and tactical/attacking football knowledge/instinct, when he was club captain for long periods of inept and demoralised football, and gave public support to Souness and Roeder, contrasted to his lack of with Gullit. And I though the Bellamy and Gillespie fights were unseemly for a club captain. Keano would have kept that shit in-house.
