Remember the Reina-thing? Hope Chelsea get crushed tonight at the Camp Nou...

What a cheat - hope he's out against us! An appeal has been lodged with the FA over Arjen Robben’s red card at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday. The case will be heard by an FA Disciplinary Commission tomorrow (Tuesday).

Leroy is class this season, but I don’t know if he is Premiership-material yet… Andrew Johnson? 22 games – 11 goals in the Championship and 3 games – 2 goals in the FA Cup…

You think Owen is going to stay then, Dan? 103391 yes. unless someone comes in with a stupid offer i think he'll stay. 103394 What's a stupid offer, Dan? £16m? 103415 If Owen is on fire at the WC, I don’t see why we couldn’t ask for at least £20m… I think him staying depends on NUFC: 1) getting a great manager 2) qualifying for European football next season 3) showing ambition in the transfer-market

Excellent stuff Jonny2J! Cheers

Huntelaar is definitely a good striker, so his goal-to-games-ratio tells. But I haven't seen enough of him in action to make a proper judgement yet. He has done a great job in the Dutch league, but the Eredivisie is a very different league to the Premiership. Not sure if he could make it here. I agree that the best solution could be to buy a pair of less expensive strikers (2 x Huntelaar) instead of blowing it all on one big gun (1 x Ashton).

"I'm not aware of another Alan Shearer-type player in world football. He's going to have to be replaced - how and with who, I don't know," – Glenn Roeder What to do? Who would you go for? British? Foreign? Big? Small? Strong? Fast? Personally I think Dean Ashton would be perfect alongside Owen in attack. Young. Hungry. Strong. Great potential. Could be the next Alan Shearer imo. Your thoughts?

money? I know Villareal is currently in 6th place in La Liga and still in CL, but it is a small club with limited finances... 103285 Would he want another chance in England considering he was frozen out at ManUre though? 103290 Hmm, difficult to know... I think he would - if the price was right (The Mirror reports a £8m fee). But I don't rate him that much - he did an amazing job last season, but has been disappointing this season with just six goal in La Liga and two in the CL.

I have noticed a lot of players tend to get their first goal for their club/ of the season against Everton. Jenas and Mills to name just a couple this season. 100401 Maybe Albert gets Luque against the Toffeemen?

Starting line-up: Given Ramage - Boumsong - Elliott - Babayaro Solano - Parker - Emre - N'Zogbia Shola - Shearer Result: 3-2 (Shearer, Shola, Emre)

Toon vs Everton Your predictions on: Starting line-up? Result?

Very impressive indeed. But with him waiting until summer before making his mind up, I just can't see it happening. Sorry, wish I could...

Spot on. Still a big mess. One big difference though - Souness didn't believe in tactics, Roeder do.

Great news! When will this happen?

Could Scotty Parker do a job alongside Boum in the centre? Team vs. Everton: Given Ramage - Boumsong - Parker - Babayaro Solano - Bowyer - Emre - N'Zogbia Shola - Shearer

Elliott and Boum in the centre vs. Everton would be a disaster tbh. Both are slow, won't win anything in the air, low on confidence. Beattie & co would love it. 99750 So it's Boum and....? I didn't say it was the perfect solution, but it's the only feasible one. Taylor knackered, Moore knackered, Bramble knackered, Carr knackered. The only over option you have is playing Ramage CB and putting Elliott at RB, which would be just as bad. 99760 There you go
