  1. My local side, Dundalk, play home games on a pitch the exact same as this pitch in Moscow. The standard might not be the same, but its the exact same FIFA 2 star pitch. I have yet to see any player do his knee turning or even get injured because of the pitch itself. The one thing is that it bobbles like fcuk. A simple rolled backpass becomes a git of a bobbly ball back to the keeper, and with Robinsons run of form/luck, who knows! PS. We're unbeaten in 2 years at home on it
  2. Agree with that. Only took a couple of posts to realise that, when I read 'Now this will give Ramage and Taylor a chance...' For all the talk of us not being much better, I think that line blows it out of the water completely!
  3. When Enrique came on just before the 3rd goal we looked a whole lot better. Well balanced with Zog and Milner on the wings, and the two fullbacks behind them. Martins very lively up front, Beye was strong and I couldn't fault Butt today. Solid 2nd half, with us looking particularly good playing 4-4-2.
  4. Thought that was according to Jonathan Legend for a mo
  5. Fergie never sells a good player unless they've had a serious falling out.
  6. I believe Steve Staunton (a man who I will support to the end, because he's our local hero) is rather out of his depth. I feel sorry for him. We messed up, we haven't won an away game, the San Marino 2-1 win I just don't count. We fcuked up in Cyprus and in Slovakia (I had the misfortune of being there). Czechs scored a great goal. Apart from that, wor Shay was fantastic again. And Richard Dunne, what a defender he's become, he's our Terry. Hunt shouldn't have been sent off, Czechs gave him serious abuse for the Cech incident. We're out now, but I'm still going to the Wales game in Cardiff for the piss up Speaking of Wales, it really hurt me even more to see them hammer Slovakia. Why couldn't we do that?! Fantastic result for Scotland. Absolutely brilliant. And just how good is it to see Owen back in such top form. Bring it all to Pride Park Mickey.
  7. Yeah you're right. Don't know what made me think he was.
  8. Thats 2 of our summer signings, both captains of their clubs, and defenders, free! Brilliant business by Sam, hopefully.
  9. They now have 9, maybe 10 players who can play upfront, if you include Roy O'Donovan, who cost £500k from Cork City. Absolute madness, not one of them is capable of getting 15+ goals!
  10. Expect a 6 minute protest from the Kop 'how dare a pro read the sun!!!' Great to read that though, he fcuking loves it here, he's gone do well this year.
  11. He's a very careful man, Father!
  12. I love reading what Sam has to say. His words are that of a knowledgable coach, of a man who is meticulous in preperation of games, treating each game and each opponent like its the biggest game of his life. Its just so refreshing and confidence-filling to see after the shite we've had to go through since Bobby's last year in charge.
  13. Only real surprise member is Taylor. Hope...even though he wont...that he gets a game. Shame the Ireland squad is never predictable!
  14. So if I got a flight over in the morning I'd have no problem getting a ticket? Interesting...
  15. "Graeme Souness here, or Souey as Terry Mac and the other lads like to call me. I'm just here to remind you to renew your season ticket, because like all proper clubs, we need proper fans to support our proper players, and of course me, Souey, a proper manager who won 4 European Cups as a player."
  16. Was more surprised about him feeling 'uncomfortable' about something Keane related!!
  17. Was having a read of another of the Sunlun obsessed Irish rags this morning when reading a piece about them where Eamon 'wanker' Dunphy suggested that Niall Quinn is fast becoming the new Fat Freddie, not in stature obviously. Sunderland is becoming a media circus, Quinn is never out of the papers, never off our screens, and always so quick to have his voice heard. It smacks of him scampering to replace FF as t he Premier Leagues highest profile chairman. What do you think?
  18. I still couldn't help but feel nervous, even when 3-0 up. We're not near there yet!!
  19. Bit of confusion, may have got a nick but I'm giving the goal to Zog. I'm just gutted I took him out of my fantasy football! Bolton are all over the shop
