  1. well ya know what i mean makes more sense to most people than saying "naas", nope i swore in 2006 i'd never be back after going every year since witnness started but..rage are playing heading out for a drink in bray with my cousins saturday, and only going for sunday@oxegen and were staying in jurys@christchurch that night Sounds like the right idea, I'm the same, swore I'd never go back after 2006. Bought an early camping ticket this year, don't even know why. Now I'm trying to get rid of mine because I've just bought a car and also can't afford the 3 days off work. That and the weather is too dodgy.
  2. You won't see much of Oxegen in Dublin Do you know anyone looking for a camping ticket?
  3. I suppose its different when you visit Dublin and stay in the city centre etc. you don't know what really goes on, shootings almost nightly in the outskirts. They're knocking down the old Guinness Brewery now as well. I think they will have to keep part of it, for a museum etc. but Guinness are moving their operations to a new site on the outskirts. The Harp Lager brewery in my town is being closed too
  4. That`s what I thought too ... must be a mistake. Public transport is wank, health is horrid, food is gash, criminality is rife, corruption is rampant and you can't find a waste bin to save your life. Good boozing and floozies though! And theres a giant needle in the middle of O'Connell Street I've never liked Dublin, spend time in it almost every day. Its expensive, dirty in places, and just not worth the over inflated prices for everything (€5-6.00 for a pint in places). And whats worse now is that we're supposedly in recession, so a lot of housing developments are being left only half finished, making it look a whole lot worse. Give me my shitty little border town any day I've visited a good few times and like it a lot. The part 'outside Dublin' is fantastic despite a few shortcomings. Considered moving there for a while but just couldn't hack the climate. What part 'outside Dublin' do you mean?

  6. Dublin in that list that Torres linked to is at 25, fook me
  7. Id say both them places are fuckin bang on, if you took all the Old Firm bigots out of Glasgow it would be a great toon. Same number of gang-related crimes as London with a sixth of the population, Nice. Got to go there at the end of the month, not looking forward to it. I'm going there tomorrow, thankfully I will only be there for about 3 hours.
  8. Yeah EURO has made great strides even from FIFA 08, players are a bit more responsive, yet still not responsive enough IMO. Looking good for FIFA 09. I've always been a PES fan but this years 'effort' has completely put me off it, absolutely shocking.
  9. Carlisle. If it was UK I'd probably say Glasgow.
  10. Cobh Ramblers and Shamrock Rovers, smart arse!
  11. FFS, SundIreland on another Irish tour
  12. Just goes to show that some people only believe that you have to be flashy and have silky skills in order to be a hit, if you are South American!
  13. Lazy journalism, Acuna was definately not a miss.
  14. woo, had a €5 reverse on Germany to beat Spain in the final at 12/1. €60 before a ball is even kicked! Any word on Villa?
  15. His premature born daughter died on the day of her birth, Wednesday.
  16. Nah, he'd a bad tournament
  17. Can't see Pavlyuchenko going to Celtic for the reported £6million they were going to bid earlier in the week either!
  18. Souness said last night on RTE that we had offered Emre and money for Arda. Obviously forgetting that he has more or less signed for Fener.
  19. Unfortunate indeed, Arshavin is absolute top class, very refreshing to see such a skillful, talented player who also works hard for his team. Anyone who signs him are signing a class act.
  20. Car prices in the UK are unbelieveably cheap compared to here. I'm buying a 05 Golf over there for 6500 in the next week or so, works out at 8500 europeans. Should I decide to take it in and get the plate changed to an Irish one, I will have paid €10,000 in total. Saving of €3-5000 on just buying one here.
  21. That sure as hell was a bad game, but I thought it was brilliant
  22. If I was to pick just one right now it would be The Stone Roses - I Wanna Be Adored. Going to see the Complete Stone Roses tonight Random 5: The Prodigy - Poison Oasis - Stop Crying Your Heart Out Eric Prydz - Call on Me Tears For Fears - Everybody Wants To Rule The World The Raconteurs - Steady As She Goes
