  1. i worry man city take some of the targets left by the top4 that we could do with . but i agree , even rhonaldino was found somewhere . diego vdv , modric are all going tobe snapped up, its upto us to find the next ones out there . bound tobe a few gem's in psv's youth squad we can nick before they bloom . fiorentina is another good team to raid .
  2. id like to think its getting hard for cappello to ignore harper , lets make a bit more noise about it i say !
  3. id like to think its harper is getting hard for cappello to ignore , lets make a bit more noise about it i say !
  4. surely mort posting last years accounts was enough to convince those of you who are calling him ? the club was in a shocking state .
  5. come off it ! the big 4 can afford those debts !! , considering we havent finished in the top half for god knows how long then yeah , id be pretty reserved about ploughing money into a club when id just taken it over. i was gonna reply earlier , but realised this was all about fishing for wind up's rather than a serious debate , grouping us with the big 4 (who earn millions from the prem and championship league ) to point out ashleys lack of spending is laughable . we can have all the support in the world , but with a 70+% wage budget and lack of top half finish , is enough to make any company fold .
  6. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7312479.stm where are the headlines about ashley making millions today then ?
  7. mixed emotions , great to watch but annoying to think how far we have fell . dont think there are strikers like les around anymore , was fantastic to watch , but hugely dissapointing when we sold him and ginola. can never understand the lack of praise cole gets sometimes , beardsley or not , andy still put them all away. one obvious thing about watching the videos of that time period , is all our lads gave a shit about each other , we had a propper team then , not just a group of players
  8. utter rubbish , if he was spreadbetting like that he'd be well aware of the outcome if it went against him , i cant for one second belive he'd do that if it meant parting with investments to cover the gamble . sounds more like its just been a punt went bad (if its true) and he's got more than enough money to cover that without even considering selling nufc , he bought us outright , not bank loans like other owner have , so even if needs be he could always stick us on a loan , but again i call BS . hardly supprising its the news of the world with this and the martins story today .
  9. Harper is more than good enough , ive felt so more comfortable knowing he's in goal when he's played this season , he's got given's shot stopping and a whole lot more to boot imo .
  10. shame keegans achivements as a footballer get brushed under the carpet cos of his spell as england manager this guy is respected the world over for what he did on a football pitch . wonder if he's still got some contacts in hamburg wouldnt mind a few of their squad ! We were signing players who still had something to prove, the Beresfords and Lees, and fortunately for me, and for Newcastle, they still wanted to achieve things. that was the key last time , i can see kev doing the same this time round aswell . lets hope messi is boo'd off at the next world cup or summit then
  11. cheers, peronally I agree with most of what he says. Especially the bit about running the club from London instead of up here. cant give judgement on how thats working at this early stage tho surely ? its not an ideal i agree , but if everything run's smoothly this summer we shouldnt complain , if wisey was in little benton 24/7 they would only print how it undermines keegan . why should they care who own's newcastle utd? we have the only english billionare owner in the prem and they want to see him out , forget about thanksin who's up in court atm and labeled with crimes against humanity i think its more todo with the media blankout that's happened inside nufc since the new regime . they fail to take note that fthe run of fixtures keegans had since his return is arguably the hardest run we have had all season .
  12. Article is called 'carry on up the toon' highly original http://www.skysports.com/tv_show/story/0,2...3311730,00.html
  13. they have it up in print on the website . this statement says it all for me ..... ""People are having a go at Keegan. I say let Keegan have the money in the summer and let's judge him next season. But ideally I would like another takeover at the club. " he would like another takeover at our club , thats nice of him innit .
  14. its crazy to think we still have the likes of pompy and west ham away that are being wrote off sad state of affairs . a result in one of those and the games we expect to win and we'd be wondering what all the fuss was about . i see bolton joining derby and fulham to go down , sunderland wigan and birmingham real close to them .
  15. ehh , he throws spurs in their as an example ? they wouldnt suffer the shite allerdyce calls football either . and building for the future instead of tommorow ? i didnt see either tbh . he cant talk his was out of going to derby for a draw ect , we all saw what the team did the first few games of the season before they were tainted by allerdyces style .
  16. Stone cold stats right there. PM me your address and I'll post you the page from the paper, I've still got it. it's not about the "stats" you plank and if you don't understand what it is about then I can't be bothered to further discuss it with you. tbh I dont understand what its about. It should be all about the stats, it will be interesting to see how much we dont care about those 2 or 3 extra points we may have had under Allardyce at 4:45 on the 11th May. more to the point is how much we care about the points sam should have got at derby and co in the first half of the season and the christmass games .
  17. our clubs not worth 250 million , so he has invested more than 8 .and unless he sticks another 100 mill on the loan and then flogs it he wont see the cash back for the debt he payed off
  18. honest your like a nagging wife , or a lame dog , either way someone needs to pop you out of your misery . correct me if im wrong , your slagging off a team who nearly went down last season for getting beat by one of the top 4 ? i get that right ? lets say you are that dumb ......... thats probably a good enough reason to stop entertaining you .
  19. funny how the shite the media spouts come's trickling down thu the supporters. if keegans so shit , that means there is at least 15 managers in this league thats alot worse . ofc we wanted a foreigner ehh ? someone who doesnt know the region or what the fan's want, that worked great with fat sam , he's foreign enough for me tyvm .
  20. wouldnt sell him if i had the chance , got a bit to learn but he's been the only decent thing this season for me . we love to shit on our players ehh ? if you dont think milner commands 8 mill in this market i dont know what you expect to get in the summer .

    relegation

i cant see the fight in our team like those around us , our little powderpuff boys aint used to this relegation battle where as the clubs around its all they know . sunderland will be going all out todo a number on us like every other team around us , im doubting whether this group of players has the bottle to get the job done .
  22. we would need to pay more wages , simple as that really , there are only so many teams that could compete with us in that respect . also its not like were going tobe buying just the one player , if its known that we are intent on bringing in several players of this calibure , we have more chance of bringing in the big names . also agents .... , they will smell the money a mile off !! ashley and co have alot of contacts with all the high roller agents who wouldnt dream of ignoring the vasts amounts of cash that 'could' be on the table to spend .
  23. tribal football has this one ..... Newcastle United boss Kevin Keegan is ready to join the battle for Werder Bremen midfielder Diego. Keegan has promised fans big-name signings in the summer and watched Brazil ace Diego in action last week at Rangers. Diego is emerging as one of the hottest transfer properties on the continent and Toon can expect competition from Juventus and Valencia to land the midfield schemer. not sure where they got it from , but thoughts of a midfield general like diego in a toon shirt is enough to make a grown man skip to work .
  24. JD sport called , they want their shop window back ! .
  25. did you miss allerdyce calling to 'Stop the Rot' all season ? seems a few lucky goals at the end of matches have managed to shine a light on sam's tenure .....
