before the season even kicked off , one look at the fixture list told me we couldnt afford to drop many games in the first half of the season , the first half of the fixture list was a dream imo , i knew when we didnt pick up full points to the bottom teams it would bite us in the backside . i probably screamed for the sacking of allerdcye more due to those fixtures than the ones at the end of his tenure .

i dont like the article personally , and i normally think highly of them . im not sure what people expect keegan todo with these players , i mean half of them allerdyce brought in and they let him down , the other half have been letting our managers down for years . the fact they highlight we havent strengthened in years , and we have had the same set of players for years , they have had 2 managers sacked before keegan so god knows what they expect kev todo with them ! the writing was on the wall for me in the first half of the season , regardless of how allerdyce sent them out to play , they still couldnt beat derby or reading .

he's a young lad in a position that gets alot of scruitiny cos of how important a good centre back is . cant be england under 21 captain cos of luck , he's one of the best of his age group . playing in our back 4 these past few seasons cant have been helpfull either .

can see between 9-15 points left there before the end of the season . cant say im confident in the lads .

u gotta feel for owen , he's had so many bad desicions from ref's , he's scored in nearly every game he's been back for , but most ruled offside . ive gotta say owen's become a far more inteligent player , even going back to the last england games where he blocked their keeper so we could scored , was so slyly done ...great to watch . and baiting the offside for the freekick against boro was very smart . his run's for the toon aswell have all been spot on , infact he's probably to good as they are all unfairly ruled offside atm . he's defo lost more than a yard of pace tho, im not sure what the hell shay was on about when he said owen and oba are the fastest, cos ive not seen a quick owen out on the pitch for years .owen's comming to deep for the ball aswell, i guess he's feeling forced into doing that lately , but he cant take anyone on for love nor money . need emre on the park for him aswell , these two have been sticking together this season , emre knew exactly who he was aiming for againt boro .

you dont know what to belive , there was so many players named in paper that he was 'meant' to buy , elano, modrik, hutton ect all mentioned . we need to remeber tho , he spent 5 million on smith, 6 on barton, 6 on enrique , 3 on rozy . that money could have been far better spent , elano wasnt that much , nor hutton at the start of the season , so im putting it down to BS . he got 10 million plus the cash from sale of players, and the actual cash buys he went for have been cash wasted . he's not got a leg to stand on , unless it turns out the board bought barton smith and enrique , we had no need for smith so the cash from him and barton could have bought modrik , enrique's cash could have went on elano .

he's talking their like he was offered assistant manager job , not a coaching role . he can have all the opinions he wants cos he was asked to come in as a coach not the manager . he was meant to come in and finish his pro lisence , learn the in's and out's of the club , support the players . not to come in and give his opinion about anything and everything . for a club he supposedly 'love's , he doesnt want to get his hands dirty does he . for me this was alan's chance to come in and learn the ropes , maybe then i would have been happy about seeing him as our manager one day , in my eye's he's just looking to distance himself from us as the season ahead looks rough .

Your not talking about to long ago when incidents like barton's happened alot in the world of football . in this world of 'footballing athletes' you have to wonder what we are missing out on , the next gazza would not probably not make it past the first post in this enviroment . to miss out on players like him in place for workhorses who can run alot further is surely criminal . not that barton and gazza should be mentioned together , but lets hope he can get a bit of form going and make himself worth some of the hassle he causes .
