There are players who put in the least possible effort defensively or in terms of movement so that when they do get the ball they're fresh. And then there's Gordon who will sprint at full pace to close down a player who then effortlessly gets passed him, or makes the easy pass sideways. The effort is there but his defensive decision making is poor as is his use of his body off the ball. Plenty of time to improve those though.

They're offside there but we were so foolish, they played it back to open up space and we obliged by attempting to push forwards to close them down. We're all over the place. That for me is a dive, but they won't overrule it because it has been given on field.

Yeah a chance, but doesn't impact our overall performance. We were second best in the physical and the pace of the game was largely dictated by them. Our cohesion was well off, which is partly to be expected due to our massive injury list, but we were a bit heartless out there, like an off-brand Newcastle imitation. I know they were trying but we lost the fight and started throwing aimless hopeful haymakers way too early. Bruno extremely guilty of this, but it was across the board. Really nothing at all redeeming to take from this except that if Lascelles is just a knock we didn't add any significant injuries to the list.

We were all over nothing, they started to get a bit panicked because they've not kept a clean sheet all season, but we created nothing apart from a Wilson point blank header in the first half.
