Howe's Half Arsed Wank Pots v Nuno's Affable Scab Bastards

You can't be having a good game when you've given the ball away five times in 20 minutes. He's been heavily involved and is trying hard but at the minute he's having a stinker. -

Livramento great run but overhit what should have been an easy pass. -

A knock or unwell? Strange to have him on the bench as the temptation to risk playing him must be very high. -

He's not exactly playing well is he. Needs us to pile on to correct his trajectory. -

And after a string of fouls by them too, was a great opportunity for the ref to stem the flow and have a chat to them. -

Not sure you can blame Pope there, all down to the turnover and then the shot was perfectly placed. -

You're right he's on 9 yellows, so one more will lead to a suspension. However it looks like such suspensions don't carry over to Cup games: Under The FA's rules, players who receive a total of 10 yellow cards in their side's first 32 Premier League matches receive a two-match suspension. Yellow cards are not carried over to the EFL Cup or FA Cup. -

The talk of Joelinton is that the aim is to be back for the final. That sucks, would be great if he's back to play a little a match prior. Bruno was out in the lead up to the final in 2023. -

Hope we have Botman available. Joelinton won't be so for me Miley staked a very big claim for starting by being our best player in his 45 minutes against City. Howe to figure out the best way for that midfield three to work; I'd have Tonali in the 6. Livramento back in for Trippier and we don't give our CBs the free roaming to press high against Forest midfielders. Murphy and Gordon both also need to be ready to use their pace to help out against the counter. -
If we're going to have stinker performances, away at Man City is a great place to have them. Unfortunately it's not only away at financial super clubs that we have such games. For me it brings home how far behind we still are. Their depth is magnitudes ahead of ours and yet they were still able to bring in top quality players to plug the gaps from injuries. The biggest concern for me is that if the remainder of our season stutters along and we finish outside of meaningful European places then we'll find ourselves stagnating and quite possibly even regressing. Whilst we've potentially set ourselves up to have the best chance to improve our squad over the summer if we can't offer European football we'll struggle to attract the right calibre of player. Plus we'll face extreme levels of unsettling speculation about Isak and potentially others (Tonali, Bruno). If we do sell even if we get good prices there's absolutely no guarantee that we'll spend wisely. Winning the League Cup would be absolutely brilliant, but with this performance surely our confidence drops. We have a similar game coming up at Anfield. If we are beaten as comprehensively there then the self belief will inevitably recede further. The results of the cup also won't impact our ability to attract players as it only guarantees Europa Conference League play-offs.

At least Forest also lost. And Villa could only manage a point at home against ten man Ipswich.
-
And the only reason we can't do similar is that they started spending money before we could, and now we're not allowed.
-
Bruno coming off likely because he rolled his ankle earlier.
-
Marmoush, exactly how I didn't spell it earlier.
-
Lovely ball movement and chance creation there.
-
Much better from Hall.
-
And no yellow for Mahmoush sweeping out our legs from behind without being anywhere near the ball.
-
Harsh yellow on Bruno
-
Miley and Tino coming on for Willock and Trippier.
