  1. CT is good for the post count on here as there's just so many ways to point out how he is wrong, and as it is the internet there's always a queue of people willing to do so. Seriously. No offense mate
  2. I was basing Perch at right back on the idea that Anita won't be ready. I hope he will be, but had heard nothing to indicate that this was the case.
  3. Winning this could well be a major turning point in the season, if we can go into our next run of games with confidence and take some points we'll pull right out of the bottom section into comfortable midtable land. Though with the players we have a available it's not going to be easy, particularly if we give them lots of space out wide. Perch in particular with marking responsibilities as right fullback will be a big cause for concern. Last match before Tiote heads off for the African Cup apparently.
  4. Typically no, been a bloody frustrating window.

    Demba Ba

If he scored at the same rate he has this year and the first half of last season it would be worth it. I'd say he'd be on one of the higher bases in the team at the moment with some very healthy incentives for goals. Would help to explain why he was visibly upset with being moved wide last season.

    Demba Ba

FIFA will gladly officially endorse them. For a small percentage.

    Demba Ba

Player agents, they're the ones behind the scenes making the phone calls and arranging the meetings all to get their cut. Demba Ba's is no doubt rubbing his hands together deciding where else on this planet he'd like to pick up a holiday home.
  8. There's only two phases of Steven Taylor; coming back from injury, and coming back to injury.
  9. QPR could do with Joey Barton back in IMO. Couldn't be worse really and reckon he'd get on with Harry Redknapp seeing as one spews out shit and the other dribbles it constantly.
  10. My mistake. In my defense I'm in another continent and our Magpie looks nothing like yours except for the colouring.
  11. There was a nice cameo by one in the Arsenal game.
  12. The Man Utd game would have taken it out of our players, that's the kind of game it was but regardless of this professional footballers should be able to back up 3 days later and not fade like they did. Mental application was lacking.
  13. Capetown is a beautiful city, though I'd never want to live there knocking it out of the favourites list. Weather in London knocks it out, though I really enjoyed it - it was the first city in Europe that I visited. I'm not sure why so many have included Vegas. I guess there's lots going in there but there's nonsense of history - a bunch or massive casinos in the middle of a desert. I'm not a gambler though so perhaps that's part of it - that said it's fantastic for affordably priced lavish accommodation.
  14. Cabaye closer to a return than HBA last I read, Cabaye possibly early than anticipated (which to me means he might be back on time which is still a month away). Worrying that Ben Arfa is still that far away. I don't think there is a date on either Jonas or Anita yet though I could be wrong. Hopefully they'll both be available before Cabaye.
  15. It was delicious. Solanoesque but with the other foot. Wasn't pleased with the way he was standing at the top of the box for their 4th (I think) but attack wise he was very good.
  16. If Colo was to go we'd be completely stuffed, as it is James Perch as a starting centre back is testament to our current dire position. I'd father Ramage. The worst part is we were all aware of it, but the club failed to act during the window. This has been exacerbated by Tiote's self conversion to an attacking midfielder, leaving our extremely soft underbelly exposed. It was a complete shambles at the end, not sure whether it was fitness, effort, attitude or a combination that lead to it. Perhaps it was just a lack of cohesion and team work.
  17. Athens, Budapest, New York City, Rome.
  18. Pardew also confirmed midfielder Jonas Gutierrez faces a spell on the sidelines with a knee injury after missing the Boxing Day game. "He will be missing the next two or three games," he said. "Gutierrez will have an injection in his knee tomorrow. It is not clearing up and he is not 100%."
  19. We will bring on 2 players in the January window. At least 1 player will leave. We'll finish the season in the top 10.
  20. He wasn't that good against Man Utd in my opinion, however it was clear that in terms of technique he is far ahead of most other players in the side. His decision making wasn't great but that's to be expected given he hasn't played much in this side. He still doesnt strike me as the type of player that will put in the effort to get back when required, though happy to be proved otherwise. Ben Arfa is of course vastly superior, but an attacking midfield with Ben Arfa, Marveaux, Cabaye and Tiote should have enough defensive mettle.
  21. Colo embarrassed himself with the way he carried on there, on replay there wasn't much in it. If he had carried on defending highly unlikely that they would have scored IMO. Can't be fun getting one across the schnoz, but if you don't get the call you need to keep playing. Defensively in the second half we lost our shape.
