What is so hard to understand about where the money to support football clubs and their employees come from, be it players, agents, directors or program sellers? It all comes down to the fans. Where else? The bank loans, the stock market investors, the corporate customers, the Sky Premier league collective contract. If every ST holder paying on average £600 a season doesn't cover the transfers and player wages, how does an extra few quid on shirts and pies make a difference? Of course the fans, or should I say customers, provide the club's revenues, whether it be by buying tickets, Sky subscriptions (which then Sky pays back to Newcastle after skimming a profit), or merchandise.
