  1. Next up Quiet Village - Silent Movie. Genius recommendation.
  2. Just establishing my superior point of view to you, obviously. Spotify is wank in comparison. If you listen to loads of music, Apple music is great. If HF's consumer needs were being met, he wouldnt be doing the trial.
  3. Well i can click on the artist name at anytime to go to the artist page. Not sure where 'home' is as the concept doesnt really exist. I've got smart playlists but dont use them as the public partners playlists are too numerous and good and i add my own curated ones.
  4. What you on about? Must be different on google. Probably is.
  5. Spoitfy is utter shit in comparison. I listen to around 40 to 60 hours of music a week. This month i've spent 200 euros on vinyl already and listen to my mp3 all day when working at home. Apple music shits on everything else. The For You section just keeps suggesting stuff i didnt realise i really wanted to listen to. Currently listening to The Avalanches Since I left You. Beautiful.
  6. You have to go to new and playlists, in France i have curated playlists from Colette, Digster, FILTR, Shazam, Pitchfork, DJ mag, Resident Advisor, VICE, Rolling Stone US, NME, Mojo, Q Mag, XL recordings, Domino Records, Young Turks. Some of them are shit obviously. There are however hundreds of lists in each section, the Resident Advisor and Pitchfork ones are super lush. All the recommends and best new tracks already in a playlist.
  7. Got a 'Jawohl' () at the Swiss border today and a nonchalant 'bah oui' at the French.
  8. Couldn't agree more. Just Like Heaven is a ridiculously good pop song.
  9. Meeting Phil Hamnond tomorrow, the famous doc off the telly. Should be a laugh.
  10. I'd be surprised if there wasn't strong and emotive disagreement.
  11. Real estate? That's your answer?
  12. You're not sure they know what they want but you are sure you know exactly what they want? Go on then, am asking you to articulate what you think IS is trying to achieve. Revenge was my suggestion based on the insistence this is about geo-politics and revenge for atrocities in the middle east carried out by the West. Do you agree?
  13. You see this last night? http://i.imgur.com/eOja905.gifv After the shock on Saturday, people went out en masse yesterday. Everywhere was busy.
  14. I think they are very clear about what they want and about how they want to bring it about. Muslims are not evil, no. Warped ideology that invokes death is though and that is incontestable. IS is a religious movement, ideology drives everything they do. You're good with google, try a few choice phrases and see what sort of vision IS have set out for the world. Also look at their wealth and resources. Not enough for planes perhaps but they dont want them, they want something else.
  15. Unhelpfully flippant. What do IS want? Revenge? Explain to me what you think they are trying to do.
  16. All great points PL. The fact that all 4 terrorist attacks in France this year were planned before the French became involved in air strikes and the reaction of the French government last night, just proves that this is IS's desired effect not cause. We are all Zionist-crusaders living in the capital of obscenity and prostitution. I think some intellectuals are guilty of psycho-analyzing the terrorists and blaming their behaviour to a grief for the deaths of Muslims in the Middle East since 9/11. This is certainly a recruiting tool of IS but what IS wants and what they hope to achieve is driven by religion. We can argue whether that desire has been mainly driven by the West's actions and there is room for that but at heart of IS is a warped view of religion governing their every action.
  17. Well am sure you've seen the footage from Place de la Republique, definitely still on edge despite the defiant spirit. Went out to one of the big local parks this afternoon with the kids and it was the busiest i've ever seen it. Not sure if that was defiance too or just a lot of people staying local and not moving around the city as they might usually. Everyone is shocked but this is the 4th terrorist attack in France this year.
  18. France only joined air strikes in Syria 6 weeks ago. They opposed invasions of Iraq. All this chat about Iraq and the American actions in the area being the cause misses this point doesn't it? Was the attack planned less than 6 weeks ago? Plainly not. The French right (UMP, Sarkozy) are now calling for the west to align behind Russia and Assad as the most logical choice of the lesser of two evils.
  19. I'll try and post some thoughts later, some good discussion on here. Just to say, what an absolute head fuck this has been, can't help but think about the future and my kids growing up here.
  20. 2 terrorists in the Bataclan are dead apparently
  21. Yes, at home. The TV is saying to stay indoors too.
  22. President just announced the borders are closed!
  23. At least 60 dead. Our lass's sister is out near by, she's ok but having a nightmare trying to get home.
  24. Loads of people on the pitch at the SDF.
