There seems to be wild fury on social media that the atmosphere wasn’t as good for a 0-1 home defeat than it was for a 4-1 home victory. Which I find a bit bizarre tbh For a good hour Dortmund prevented us from setting our normal tempo, we didn’t help ourselves mind with some sloppy passing in midfield. First half Can was killing us with those long balls from deep which by passed midfield and they were straight on to our back 4 and should’ve scored before he got injured, that didn’t matter a great deal because after he went off they fuckin scored anyway Issak was maybe brought back too early, Wilson should’ve scored but in general Hummels knew far too much for him. Crafty old European foxes came with a decent game plan to make us play at their slower pace and it mostly worked a treat for them even with our glut of missed chances (that old chestnut) and woodwork scraping. Group appears to be wide open but we’ve only one home game left. Difficult to imagine getting a win in either Germany or France. Might be Europa for us if Milan don’t pull their socks up..

We stayed at Mission Beach, first place we saw a DANGER THERES CROCS ROUND HERE sign in QLD . The now semi permanent Mrs PL went for a night time comfort break at the campsite dunny armed with a torch, soft bog roll and a fork from the camper van’s kitchenette

Hunter valley is full of Northumbrian place names, presumably due to miners from the NE settling in the area to exploit the coal reserves? There’s a Kelso in Washington State, US, just at the foot of Mt St Helens which blew its top in the winter of 80/81 which coincided with my first year at secondary school. Kelso High School Roxburghshire was somehow in regular contact with Kelso High School Washington and we received lots of photos showing the devastation across the area. We did a geography project on it, about how the eruption affected the weather across the entire planet, including causing one of the coldest winters on record in the uk 🤓 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1980_eruption_of_Mount_St._Helens

There was another yes/no exchange and my missus could see the way this was going so she came across, took the book he’d just signed from me and said “right let’s get a picture!” and proceeded to get us lined up for the shot and the mood dissipated back into joviality again I got the impression the problem was/is even for KK’s legendary common touch with ordinary punters he’s not used to being contradicted by us plebs, he wasn’t taking it, and because I knew I was on easily provable firm ground I wasn’t going to back down either… fair to say we’re both cunts in a way; the difference is he’s won the ballon d’or twice and I drive a white van with some light bulbs in the back of it 🤪

It did in 2015, they got caught up in the strange wave of nationalism after the referendum the year before. Then they realised that they’d been voting for closet Marxists and put the tories in. They’re not the brightest tbh See above ^
