Just had a lovely stroll along the quayside market. Parked on the Gateshead side and wandered across the bridge. Must say really impressed since I havent been to the market there for 20 odd years. Nice change for A Sunday morning. Quite fancy doing one of those three hour cruises to the sea and back. Always fancied seeing landmarks from the river.

I think Pardews ideal team wouldn't include Barton. He would prefer to fast attacking wingers with Ben Arfa off a striker and Tiote and Cabaye in the middle. Will be a very interesting season to see how the team pans out, particularly with Gosling and Vuckic knocking on the door.

I have to take responsibility for the Rob Lee comparison which I said after the Darlington game. It was based on the style of attacking play and shooting ability I had seen on YouTube prior to the game along with some bone crunching tackles he put in at Darlington. When I think of Emre I tend to think of Jonas but in the middle and personally never really took to him. I don't also recall him being a ferocious tackler. Maybe I'm wrong. Cabaye will get better and better as the real formation Pardew wants to play has chance to gel.
