  1. You need to cancel your diary for tonight, get a warm mug of cocoa and get Chez on the PM.
  2. Thats cos no-one but the money know how it gets divvied up etc. It will only be know for sure when the accounts come out. It will be discussed forever and a day but those were expecting a few "biggish" signings will rightly have cause for grievance and those who agree with the club getting things financially right and building more slowly will be happy as it is. Personally if we they could convince Enrique to stay and get a good forward in then I think most would be very happy.
  3. My Mid life crisis transport would be a Stag and not a Harley. However this has been overuled by the wifes mid life crisis aged 6 and 8 months.
  4. Aye, these down pours that keep coming down arnt filling Mrs Tree with confidence. I on the other hand used to be a scout
  5. Pooley bridge, sunn inn. Heard its canny. http://www.suninnpooleybridge.co.uk/
  6. One of these me thinks
  7. Put off buying the airbeds until I had been to Go Outdoors today.....Big Mistake Mrs Tree got here eye on these instead and the trip has officially turned from camping to glamping. Expect some bargains on ebay next week when she decides its not for her! Also pud, re this electric hook up. Whats the crack on a night time. Do you leave it plugged in or do you need to put it away? The lap top suggestion was a good un, particularly for the kids tv etc. Just packed the car and the wheels are buckling.
  8. Still missing the point? Have a re-read.
  9. I am afraid if you can not see the connection between excellent training facilities and players training better and staying fitter, hence not missing games, then it is indeed you who is clueless on this point.
  10. Just like 'Knackas' who started going to games with my crowd. Knew fuck all but would still opine his opinion to play 'devils advocate' just for some 'healthy debate' thinking he was bucking the trend and was ahead of the game. Thats how he got his name, shortened from, 'Who's that Bulls knacker? Is he with yous lot?" Surprised at this from you Do you not see the benefit to the first team of the changes made at the training ground?
  11. My point was how the money spent at the training ground, regardless of which pot it was allocated from, is excellent news for the first team squad and will hopefully ensure the players train better and with less likelihood of injury at all times of the year. As I think you probably know.
  12. Putting aside where the money comes from, the fact they have done what they have at the training ground imo is fantastic news and could well get us quite a few extra points next season. The pitches up there are now said to be like bowling greens and the under soil heating will allow training all year long. Could drastically reduce the niggles setting in due to training on crap surfaces or for the matter injuries whilst training. At the end of the day if they have had to steal a mill from the Carrol fee then it is money well spent imo. More than some new players? Pound for pound definitely. If Alex says its 300k... then what would you get for that.....a fourth choice squad kid at best. Now keeping Ben Arfa or Ba injury free... Spending £10 million on a goalscorer gets you more points than a 300k training pitch. Does this really need to be argued? I think the point escapes you.
  13. Will it bollocks. He wants shooting if he has our 1st choice team starting the 1st pre-season game. Well have some balls Fish and posy who you think will start and we'll see on Friday which of us was nearest.

  16. The end of the window will reveal the truth, but I would have thought playing the paupers card rather than the rich boys would be the right strategy in a window where every club thinks we have 35 million sitting gathering interest.
  17. It's the way he advocates something as if it's never occurred to anyone else and as if he's known it all along. Let me know where you're camping CT, I'm sureI can organise a live fire exercise... Its called been friendly and thoughtful, qualities you seem to be very much lacking. I dunno, he strikes me as a decent human been Twat

  19. Aye we've gone a tad of topic. He's 8months though and I have three girls, 22, 19 and 6. The 22 year old used to come to a few games with me when she was about 10 and then lost interest, however now she has a fanatic newcastle fan for a boyfriend, attending games is all the rage again. A lovely age your daughters at mind and the next few years are the really magical ones. Once they get past six though the cheek starts and they wise up very fast.
  20. 25 at heart, 45 in reality, feeling the years spinning by far too fast. (But happy ) Add onto that married at 21, 4 kids, oldest 22. Lived through negative equity various recessions etc etc and the wrinkles are mounting fast. wow wouldnt of thought yr 45, i was thinking about 15. the only reason being is you tend to get very excited about the possibility of a new signing regardless of how unlikely it mayb. yr right about the years spinning away too fast, i am getting old and in yr case you are old Its how young at heart you are that matters young'un too right mate. so whos that kid in the avatar? son? grandson? 22. Depends on the mentality I suppose. Some managers are more concerned about purely experimenting where I think others see a winning streak as a confidence booster. Both important but I would have said the confidence one was more important due to the number of new recruits. 6 or 7 up by half time and then mix it up for me.
  23. Deanos not here to do the honours but I would have thought the starting line for Friday would be. Krul Simpon --- Taylor --- Colochini --- Enrique? Tiote --- Cabaye Barton ------------------ Marveaux Ben-Arfa Ba Cant Gosling cover a few positions? If so a good player for the bench.
