3 tickets booked. Really looking forward to it. (And the drink)

I wouldnt be surprised if it does. I think most of us are gagging for the football to start again and a lot will be wanting a peek at Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Marveaux, Ba and whoever else signs before then.

@cwarr07 Colin Transfer action from #nufc Player (heavily linked in press) in Newcastle tonight for talks with club officials (Lee Charnley)

25 at heart, 45 in reality, feeling the years spinning by far too fast. (But happy ) Add onto that married at 21, 4 kids, oldest 22. Lived through negative equity various recessions etc etc and the wrinkles are mounting fast.

Cheers from the lazy, alcoholic, weak bladdered, pauper.

That there is mate, (love to be proved wrong, i'll eat my words etc) but I wouldn't be making a 'Mickey's advent calendar of hope' to run in tandem to the window closing . In the last week of it there'll be all the "source close to the club" smokescreen cobblers coming out via Dekka's Hub Of Shite and an increased presence of quotes from Paradiddle saying how happy he is with the squad as it is . Having said that, and considering the conditioning to lowering my expectations given their goings-on, and at the time of writing, I'd take no more outgoing players and a sound striker in as a pretty palatable conclusion . Its getting like cabin fever man. The early business has got us all fired up and then the following quiet has got us bickering. I think its pretty clear from the journos that we are in for more. Just wish they would get on with it. Yer right like . Weatherwise - this humid spell of late's not helping matters much either eh, wot wot ?! Well Im off to the lakes on Friday so hopefully theres no signal and I come back to smiley faces on Monday. -
Btw, for anyone considering camping, Argos have today reduced the prices again for their Outwell tents. Currently lusting still after this baby.....

£15 in TESCO at the moment them tables. I did consider making the purchase No good sitting on picnic blankets like it's the 50's. Twats, I checked them first and the piggin website says £29 http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.205-3493.aspx As the wife is going under protest, every "luxury" I can muster can only help. Saw them in-store at North Shields last night. Wouldn't worry about £4 too much like, if you've already bought it. Had a look today (Bastards). Quite impressed as well by the half price double airbags for a £10, but waiting til Ive done GoOutdoors tomorrow.

Go back and read some of your threads about how desperate you were to move on. There is always the fear of the unknown and even sometimes you have to take a step back to move forward. If you applied for it you must have wanted it. Make sure its not fear of change holding you back...........Grasshopper I know being too settled is part of it - really I should have left long before now - its just that what they've offered though fine in itself left me feeling not wanted enough - they've offered me just more than my current basic + on call allowance as a basic with the promise of good bonuses - it's not really the money as such - I just wanted a sign at the start that they really wanted me by offering me a "token" increase in basic. I suppose I'm being a bit daft really. Not knowing what you do but thats probably right. I know enough to know you hate your boss and hate where you are so just make the move. Its more dosh and the fact they havent thrown down palm leaves should just fire you up to prove yourself. Go for it......(My saying in life....LTS.....Lifes Too Short)

Anyone have the low down on this fixture. Can you get parked nearby, can you drink in the ground, is there more than one bog (for us older bladder aware). More importantly, can us lesser mortals get tickets or is it just season ticket holders.

did you not read or listen to the interviews from the chairman and manager? Okay Ant, I've had a drink so un ignored you to read this post.......... Yes I did hear / read the interviews and dont really think there was much said that hasnt already been said. All of the £35 million will be re-invested in the club..... Fees and wages........all old news....... Whoever on here is keeping a running total, have they put Ba down as nil spend or have they included the pay off to player and agent. Unexciting I agree but still a fact of life in this murky world. I definitely think it is engrained in our Management to lower expectations given our well known gluttony for the "Trophy signing" over the years. Im not sure where we are at today regarding spend (as I cant remember the thread), but we are also in for Erdinc and strong rumours about being in for N'zogbia as well as Taylor. It all adds up. As many others have said, Im much more interested in the team that starts against Arsenal than the money involved. If we have added well to the first team without too many losses then I will give them the benefit in this transitional close season. Tbh , even I am getting bored with all these will they wont they threads and just wish the first game was here. Hopefully next Fridays game at Darlo will give us glimpses of what is to come. Looking forward to it.
