Much the way I imagine it, however, he got involved for fun and I cant see mid table mediocrity keeping him entertained which either points to really trying to build something exciting or selling up. Hmmmm, which way could it go. Well you could well be right, but putting in underground heating at the training ground seems a tad odd if he's just after a quick sale. -

Nice that Mr Ashleys had the foresight to look towards the long term future of the club and have under ground heating installed at the training ground. -

An electorate too thick to understand voting reform and thick enough to fall for Cameron's cunning plan of employing an absolute patsy to take all the blame for their economy stalling policies. Has nowt to do with it. They've got a good kicking because of the Tuition lies. The majority of the public is still behind the deficit reduction. I hope the Liberals act up and Cameron tells them to fuck off and calls a general election. Im sure they would be back with a very big majority.

Could be a bridge too far without Tiote.......And if Pardew does play him, he's an idiot.

Be great if once a year, blokes could just take over the streets and re-live some of these games. Theres a few in my street I would like to take down in britsh bulldog. (A few worthy of catchy kissy as well)

'Japs and commando's' round wor way! That s what we called it, couldnt remember last night. And if you are proper old school, cowboys and indians. We also used to go garden hopping which was basically starting at one end of a street and like wartime commandos we would make our way over and under fences as far as we could get until chased or barked at. Sometimes you would cover about 70 gardens.

Quite happily swap Enrique for a striker of similar value.

and in every game he stuck his tongue out during god save the queen, Sir Bobby went spare. Apart from the semi final iirc due to media hoo haa. I remember screaming at the TV "stick it out" or something like that as it had become our rabbits foot.

Used to love Knock and run which we called knocky nine doors??? This one house had a big tree outside and we used to have thread going from the tree to the door knocker and drive the residents mental.

Never heard of that.....sounds a tad

So were talking nothing electrical and lets not all go for every ones favourite, Doctors and Nurses. I seem to remember British Bulldog being quite popular, however over half the gang was made up of girls so it usually descended into Catchy kissy. Japs and English was good when it was just the boys, but overall hide and seek I think used to come out tops. This is the version where if the seeker was away from base, you could sneek up, touch base and free all the caught hiders.

This threads being suprisingly quiet given recent events. Labour wiped out in Scotland Lie Dems just wiped out Tories expected to lose 1000 seats but actually gain seats. Just shows what a clever electorate we actually have and how well the Cameron is managing the country. Quite a staggering result for the Blues.

Can only be good news, even though its just paper value and not cash in the bank. Be interesting to see if any offers are forthcoming now that we are safe, have stabalised and are moving into profit. There were rumours in the media that an offer could be forth coming once we were safe. -
Quality video. Its easy to forget how special he was.

You are the one who doesn't get it! I'm talking about Newcastle fans enjoying newcastle united. If Leazes is forever going to gauge his enjoyment based on six or so years out of the last 70, then as others have said, he would be better taking up carpet bowls. Virtually all football fans have to continually adjust their expectations depending on many various factors. That's why 44,000 can still have a good time in the championship. That's why fans turn up at Sheffield, Leeds and Norwich. If you can't look forward to a game / season....what's the point? Everyone on this forum would love a one way progression to the top but that's unrealistic and not what football is about. Your expectations / enjoyment must be geared to your current circumstances. That's why an honest answer from Leazes about next season would be telling. -

I've answered you, I want to see the club showing it is progressive, reflected in performance and the desire to keep its best players. You haven't answered, you've been vague and said "aiming" for sixth. I am trying to put all the crap to one side and get your opinion of what would be a decent finish next season. If you say nothing less than 6th, then I would no you we're being unrealistic. If you said 15th I'd be shocked. So once again, what is the lowest position we could finish next season where you would be happy that we'd had a good season? -

@ Leazes So a finish next year of 8th or higher would be a decent season? -

He no doubt loves it, any excuse to wheel out the same old lines. aye, next season is gonna be just greeeeaaaat Putting all the usual shite to one side, what performance on the field next season would convince you we were heading in the right direction. Simple question. Leazes
