  1. Funnily enough I did consider that earlier but didn’t have you down as a driver
  2. I used to have one when I was younger but wouldnt these days, particularly as it’s my living and I’m such a lightweight.
  3. The wife bagged a 2 night break with meals out and drinks to St Andrew’s uni and I get a fucking car park wait in Newcastle
  4. nah, I would never drink & drive. I worked myself up to a 4 pack on the way home though.
  5. Signed up for this today 1 gig for £36 plus £95 Amazon voucher plus £30 quid cash back. The basic speed is for 513mb but because I have an account with 02 they double the data on internet and phone. Doubt I’ll ever need it but could stand the thought of it sitting their in the street, all shiny and new and unused
  6. Sat parked up in Newcastle for an hour while the daughter does her uni tour. Can’t believe I’m so near, yet so far from the Trent
  7. After the way in which we collapsed
  8. Im there too but I think I’ll have an extra pint in the Trent to numb the game / nerves
  9. Can’t these lot getting anything off Wolves. I would drop ASM for Murphy, play Bruno and offer a prayer to the hippy in the sky. What an awful performance.
  10. Well this is a fucking quiet match thread. Fucking part timers. I just think we’ve shown them too much respect first 20 mins. Goals there to be had if we are a bit more creative 2nd half. Just saying to the daughter when we got the free kick. In the good old days, Shearer would step up and welly it home. Well done Schar.
  11. Special effects were decent enough and Sci fi / disaster is a decent theme but everything else is terrible.
  12. Moonfall lol/10 This didn’t pass my test as I virtually never watch anything rated below a 6/10 on IMDB. But wife is away, my tea was ready so I chucked it on. It’s one of those films you shouldn’t put on in the first place but even if you do, you know you should turn it off pretty soon after. Its amazing in this day and age that something so bad can pass all the tick boxes that allows a film to go forward. Terrible script, acting, plot… Everything. Avoid
  13. For the bedwetters, we need wins from Liverpool, Chelsea & Southampton. For the 12 inch sausage brigade, wins from Norwich, Leeds, Wolves and Man U
  14. This for me if he goes 433. However I wouldn’t be surprised if he went with the formation used at Chelsea.
  15. People and countries have overcome a hell of a lot more than the things that dive us today.
  16. Don’t get me wrong, there’s a lot bad about it and a lot of people who should steer clear for their own health. I was just thinking as way it could be used to break the stranglehold of the main parties. Maybe I’ll knock an app up
  17. But putting aside whichever government is in power, do you honestly believe that the quality of life was better 40 years ago than now? Granted there’s a lot that I would improve if elected, but l just think the average person has a much better quality of life than 40 years ago. Maybe I’m wrong. Holidays, car ownership, choice of entertainment, just eat, pornhub, choice of foods, the internet, health treatments. Even the relationships between couples, the freedoms of different sexes, genders and orientations..
  18. I dunno, maybe it’s your last sentence that is revealing. Maybe the average gen z is fairly happy with their lot and is more interested in their day to day life joys / worries etc I think most people just want to meet the love of their life, work, ,raise a family and enjoy life the best they can, in the very short time we have. The sooner we somehow do away from right and left and find a way to run the country more balanced the better. Who knows, maybe with the connectivity of social media (used well) will do away with the “need” for grass root structures on the ground and lead to a totally new movement / way of doing politics. Anyway, enough from me and back to Netflix Sex Education as I’ve learned I might be pansexual
  19. I think that’s a very gloomy take on the real world we live in away from social media. Younger age groups are washing away a lot of the stigma and discrimination that used to be part of everyday life. They seem to be fitter, smarter and much better informed about things. The empire is long over but other than climate change I don’t think there are any UK specific issues that can’t be resolved over time, particularly if a way is found to get a better class of decision makers, maybe through proportional representation.
