The January Transfer Window 2011

Pards obviously wants someone in for the fa cup tomorrow. What is the latest time a signing has to be registered to allow them to play -
Could be an interesting game if Gosling and Ferguson get a run out. Wont feel that confident though if we are relying on Ranger to Score.

Beaten twice in one night.......the shame.

Gonski, according to Pete Graves. Not confirmed by I pswich yet.

Or © send a combination of reservists and hardened crack troops to ensure the natives don't get the better of your lesser experienced men by drawing them into their own warfare techniques in their own territory... I see your point, but even without Barton et al we should be able to defeat Stevenage. Seriously, if BArton got injured against them you'd curse til the sky turned black, moreso if (in losing him to injury) we failed to pick up points in our next 4 games. If we stumble through 1-0 with a bobbling dribbling shinning off Ranger's arse, isn't that good enough? We don't have to spank this team, we just have to beat them, so why not put out the weakest side that is definitely capable of that? We're not the lightweight guileful team that struggled against physical teams in previous seasons. We're a big strong disciplined outfit. I'd fancy us to take most of what they throw at us in our stride. Players like Routledge and Best/Lovenkrands might not be good enough to be a starting option in the Premierleague, but they're certainly good enough to put Stevenage to the sword. Newcastle have 1.5m bid accepted for Seb Larsson

Word is that the signing that we are supposed to be getting by the end of the week is Lacina Traore, thats why Pardew has been so tight lipped about who it actually is. http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/opinion/bl...icle279531.html Looks like Shola in that pic -
According to the mirror you will.

Leeds United are interested in bringing Alan Smith back to Elland Road on loan from Newcastle United, according to their manager Simon Grayson. Smith made 172 appearances for Leeds United between 1998 and 2004. “He’s a good player and forget any affinity he has with the club in the past,” Grayson said. “If you get a player of Alan Smith’s ability then obviously you would have to be inter sted. We are in the market to make us better.” If Leeds pursue their interest, one major issue could be how much of Smith’s reported £60,000-a-week salary Newcastle would pay. Leeds are also being linked with a return for Jonathan Woodgate, whom Spurs want to loan to a Championship club. “We’ve been linked with many players,” Grayson added. “Smith, Woodgate, Kaka, Messi! Smith is a good player, Woodgate is a good player and we want good players at this club. They have fantastic footballing ability, experience and know-how.” Smith, 30, left Leeds for Manchester United, which is an issue for some fans. People would have different opinions on bringing back any ex-player, whether it’s Smith, Woodgate or Harry Kewell. I’ll sign players based on what they can do for the club.”

Ahem What are you on about? You've left someone out

Ahem what? I think he's wrong too. When your reserves can do the job at no risk to your key players, why risk them. It literally makes no rational sense. Maybe you can explain it to me? Explain the virtue of risking key players when we've got the derby approaching, then Tottenham and Arsenal visiting in the next 3 games? Surely this is a misallocation of valuable resources? Ive already explained it toy you in one sentence. Why clog up another thread where several posters will say "madness, concentrate on the league", and the other side will say "fuck that, best team to win the cup". Seems pointless as neither side will convince the other. With regard to your how crap a team can do the job? Mny have tried and come unstuck. I will go as far as to agree with I think oz, that any players with niggles, shouldnt be risked.

Beautifully, Why do you think I need to diet go for a run then you can eat proper nutritious home made food without having to starve yourself of calories your body needs by eating crap like those weight watcher ready meals. seriously....absolute waste of time if you want to cut fat. i just had some home made falafel with salad and puy lentils cooked with feta, sunblushed tomatos, chili and corriander on the side Aye rightio seriously. those weight watcher meals are an absolute waste of time. without getting into Weight watchers zillion pound empire built on the success of its program....... Ive used them before and they are ideal to have in for the times when you just have no time to whip up a gourmet healthy meal OR if you live in a house with 5 others and they are all having something like home made lasagne which is delicious but laden with naughties when you are dieting.

BTW, Ray houghton on talk sport today said that after all that had happened at Newcastle, all the hurt etc etc, how romantic it would be if we won it and it was Ashley and Pardew that delivered our first cup in an eon. The cunt then went on to back sunderland for the cup

Fuck that. I want as many as the fuckers playing as possible to make sure we win. Get it won by half time then give a few a rest. and yes I know all the usual stuff about league being more important but theyve got a full week to rest. (dont mind ferguson starting, obviously) A week is no good if they pick up an injury on a shit pitch against a team of comparative cloggers, nor is a suspension likely to disappear within a week. It's a pointless risK. Not if we win the cup its not I hope youre just messing, if not... Well then you're an idiot. Not at all and we've all had this argument before. Some of us want to really go for the cup, others dont. end of really.
-
I think we've all being a bit blinded by Rangers enthusiasm rather than his actual contribution. The legends played a clip from Pardews press conference when they were discussing Ranger and he said that all the staff thought he had the right ingredients, but his application was just not good enough.....or words to that effect. Its a shame we have a few striker injuries as he really could do with a spell on loan. (not sure theyd be banging the door down for him after yesterday mind).
-
Not a bad shout and id be very happy with that. Nolan and his quick feet and fox like instincys are something no-one else in the team gives us like him.

Have you now posted the same thing 3 times drinking?

We might win the cup and some of us do want the distraction.
-
Well thats what I was getting at whether ideally we want the two big strikers or the Main man and a Beardsley style little quick player.

Stick Carol and Best (or better) infront of that and it just looks pretty fearsome......... with the likes of Jonas, ferguson, gosling etc on the bench Fuck! and we lose Nolans goals. Bugger. should be allowed a few more on or we could just play without defenders.
