  1. When do the takeovers start coming about? I'm only at the start of my season, but it would be nice to know there is a sugar daddy on his way!
  2. Good point o.O Lemme check that..... *loads up Football Manager* Ah, I meant Barnsley ;D
  3. Managed to get Vela in on loan with 3.3 Million upfront and the option of buying him for 5 Million at any point! I thought this was meant to be realistic :| Anyway, I shouldn't complain. Managed to keep hold of Martins who has just got a hat trick in the first game of the season away to Burnley. Got Celsinho in on loan as well and only sold Smith and Geremi so far. Slowly looking to bring in a decent young player for each of the older ones.
  4. Going to give this a go. I don't play FM much but hopefully this will inspire me to! Trying to build up a young side to get me promoted first season and will then hope they come good to keep me in the Premiership!

    Fifa 09

Well I did go on last night with all intent and purpose to prove myself right, but failed. First game I beat a guy playing as Celtic who stayed to the end, second game the guy went Arsenal so I went Chelsea for a bit of a derby game and I annihilated him 9-0 (he started being a fouling cunt after 4 goals, though.), and then I played him again and beat him 3-2 (he was actually a decent player when he bothered to try). No quitters, albeit that I only played three games.

Can I ask why them gamer tags fascinate you? lol - Unless one of them is you

    Fifa 09

There is a "did not finish" percentage on Fifa 09, but you can only see it if you are on the online BAP. I might start my own personal named and shamed list in this very post, and just edit in the names of all the gamer tags that have quit on me. Otherwise I will just carry on what I already do, and sending them a "cunt" message when they quit. Maybe Fifa 10 should have a cool-down period after games. So, for example, if a player quits in the first half there is a 5-10 Minute cool down before he can play another game. If they quit as the game nears the end it should either become greater or become less, depending on what is seen as worse. Would make people think twice about quitting if a cool-down is placed so that they have to wait 20 minutes or so before they come to playing another match. It should be saved somewhere, too, so that turning the XBOX on and off wouldn't work.

    Fifa 09

Now and again though I find a rare gem who I play for around 4-5 matches in a row of which all are well competed in even if one of the players ends up going down by about 3 goals. It is players like that that keep me just a little bit addicted. Fifa 10 should flash up some sort of "Hold tightly onto your controller" message when a player quits and then give them an electric shock or something. Or they should just disallow quitting all together and remove the possibility from the menu. Granted that sometimes you do have a genuine reason for leaving a game, but that is normally something like you have to go away from the XBOX so turning it off wouldn't be too much of a hinderence. At least then people who want to continue playing would have to turn off the console and then turn it back on again to get playing again.

    Fifa 09

Getting a little sick of online now. I stay for games that I lose 5-1. I go three nil up in the first half and the other guy quits. In the last 10 games I've played I've technically beaten no one because they quit before the end. Its getting ridiculous, and they need something new in Fifa 10 to stop it happening.
  12. have a mag preview/interview thingy that I bought for the feature on AC2, seems like they've varied up the combat and the games missions and such, for one you get them from multiple source and they aren't all "go here, kill this guy" like the first one, some apparently require you to be a theif or investigate something or other, I'm well looking forward to it Didn't they say that about the first one though? And the 'difference' in the mission was that you had to pick pocket some guy to get some note, before it ended up in the usual go there and kill him mission? I am looking forward to the game though, even if it is just for the graphics and the fun to be had in jumping around a lot.
  13. Too easy as well. You could just tap a button to enter a short sequence that would end up in your opponent killed instantly while the other enemies around you do nothing. Then you just move onto the next guy and do the same thing, and before you know it everyone is killed. From what I can tell from these videos, it doesn't look to be much different.
  14. http://uk.media.xbox360.ign.com/media/143/...493/vids_1.html Looks...interesting. As far as I can tell it is as graphically pleasing as the first one was, but there has been nothing to say that it isn't as boringly repetitive. Hopefully they have made it a more fun game to go back to, because that was one of the only things the first game was missing.
  15. You've been waiting for that one aint ya
  16. You tried holding the power punch button to make a punch? That's when you really get the feeling of making a big hit. Still tempted to get the game, despite the demo being incredibly easy.

    Fifa 09

Hurrah! Mad props to the guy who let me beat him 9-0 without quitting, and who was still trying to score even when he was 6-0 down.

    FIFA 10

I played PES right from when it was ISS but moved over to Fifa for Fifa 2009. Not regretting it at all. It is a much better game and it has come on in leaps and bounds to overtake PES. Also, I am wondering what this new dribbling thing is going to be...Sounds like it will give players who master it a massive advantage. I quite like how EA are moving on to make becoming good at a game that little bit harder. I assume this is a move in the same direction as using the right analog stick for punches on Fight Night.

Got the phone today and can have no complaints. Posting from it now
  20. Looks absolutely amazing. Going to take the casual gaming market to a whole new level, and that thing from Lionhead Studios is so good it's almost creepy...
  21. So this guy rose to power by overthrowing his father, he makes his own laws, and has already had the Omani National Teams stadium named after himself. Who knows, next year we may be playing at The Stadium of Sultan Qaboos bin Said. I won't even get started on the human rights black hole the Oman is... I wonder what made him think of buying Newcastle :\
  22. On comes our Scottish Kaka
  23. Hard to tell who is who in the England front line. From afar there is no difference between Ranger and Moses.

    Mobile Phones

Great news. Called up Vodafone today, and negotiated them into taking a tenner a month off the price plan I was looking at but still including all the benefits. Even better news is that the phone will arrive sometime tomorrow, so I can get back to you all with a little review when it comes!
