I have a Sarius back bone and they are quite expensive and IMO shite. The Thule ones are good but expensive. You can get cheaper ones off Chain Reaction cycles. Is your commute on the road? If so, forget the MTB and either get a hybrid or a road bike. /edit, just removed my initial question.

This is what annoyed me about the closing ceremony. We had two weeks of fantastic sports, women looking amazing through hard work and dedication to sport. Women on the front pages of newspapers world wide and websites for being healthy and winning and looking great. Then *bang* we have a "fashion show" celebrating vain women who have eating disorders, personality disorders to boot with it all in the proceeeds of selling stuff to women who think they will become gorgeous if they buy the next fashion item and then *bang* the Spice Bags, the only one who looks decent now and good is Mel C.

The BBC as general did a fantastic job and the extra channels available was fantastic. However a few items were a tad annoying. The fat cath word who interviewed some of the athletics people wasnt very nice towards some of the people nor respectable towards the national anthemes. The Lassy who was commentatuing on the MTB XC was poorly informed and when interviewing Annie Last she didnt finish it with "Well Done Annie" or the like she just turned her back on her and walked away. Hugh Porter needs to retire too from the track commentating. The stuff with Jake & Cavendish was quite funny though; Jake: "Cav, tell us what happens in the elimination race" Cav: "People get eliminated" Jake: "Ok thanks" Cav just sits there giggling.

Things like swimming there is only so much tweaking you can do from "equipment" isnt there? On the track / road / MTB you rely so much on a machine really.

Im rather annoyed. There is an old lad in here who had last week off on leave (not sure if it was unpaid or not, but thats not my business) to look after his old man who was having an operation. Anyways, he wasnt in first thing today so the two brown nosers in front of me made a show of it. This lad has infact called in sick. Apparently his old man's operation didnt go to well, so this lad has gone to the docs and got a fortnight off with stress. Anyways, this has fuck all to do with anyone bar this old lad and the gaffers. Yeh, it sounds like he is playing the game but I am going to have some compassion as his ol' fella is poorly. Fuck me, the stick he is getting from a couple of the cunts here is sickening! The poor bastards ol' fella could be dying and they couldnt give a shit!

I listened to a 5Live interview with Brailsford in Feb time and he said at the last Olympics the cost of the lottery funding for for each gold model worked out to be something like; £1.5m per medal for Cycling £3.4m for Atheletics £4m for Swimming Something like that. Would be interesting to see those figures now.

Thats what I dont understand. Yes we have had the Beatles, Queen etc but we as a an Island a small one at that have done a load more for society than strum a few tunes. Industry Architecture Medicine Human Rights Technology We have had key people in these fields thats effected the world as we know it today. We started with the NHS and celebrating it and what an amazing institute it is and we finish with this. I was dissapointed. It started well, low key, fun, and it got worse and worse.
