I think threads have crossed here. Take away the lockdown. We have known for decades that obesity is a huge drain on the NHS. It doesn't need anymore studies to know this. Obesity in children increased during lockdown and it increased in area's of poverty higher. Fine. But is this really a surprise? Drive through any poor area's and all you see is takeaways etc. It's not a fucking surprise to me at all. It's nothing to do with ignoring it.
