  1. I know he didn't, but he might as well have done. The reality was probably worse as the edge of the boarding cut his leg and 'bled profusely' according to the beeb. Bit more than a scrape after coming off your bike.
  2. Wykiki or whatever the fuck your name is
  3. I'd like to kick wiki in the shins at point blank range and see how he reacted. And a bigger cut whilst shaving? Presumably after you've smashed your head into a door.
  4. Germany score on the break to seal Denmark's fate.
  5. Format is always like that for the last games of the group though to (attempt to) prevent skullduggery
  6. Ronaldo's got some neck on him to celebrate like that considering how crap he's been so far in this tournament. Yeah good match, crowd could wake up a bit though.
  7. Very enjoyable game last night. Still don't fancy our chances to get past the quarters at best but at least we're still in the mixer. Tidy finish by Welbeck, all the more enjoyable as my flatmate had been raving about him having a shit touch all game.
  8. I think we played well for a crap team. We weren't too hot in those friendlies either. More of a gut feeling really, it would be typical of England to put in a "heroic" performance against France then be dismal against the lesser teams.
  9. Wish I had your confidence Stevie, I can easily see us losing our other two games. Not saying we will obviously, but of the four teams yesterday I thought we were the worst.
  10. Where did I say I disagreed?
  11. Presumably not looking so good avec a black eye and sans knashers right now.

I don't think it was his idea but I'm not surprised in the least that he's lapping it up. Not much I can do really as judging by the emails everyone else is happy to chip in. But none of them had to live with the freeloading cunt at university. Still it's only 20 quid.

Yeah I didn't think it was normal practice. Funny thing is that a mate of mine isn't going because stag has taken the piss with money too much in the past for him to fork out for a weekend away for him, let alone chip in.
  14. I'm watching the tennis, my Serb ancestry demands it. After going 2 sets down and 2-0 in the 3rd, Djokovic won 6 games in a row to take the set and Nadal looks shaken, it's turning into a belter of a match. Switching to the footy in the breaks, frantically changing between two ITV channels is a somewhat novel experience.
  15. A la France 2002? Good shout, get some money on it!

I've got two this year, going to the stag do for the first in a month's time. Quick query, it's a weekend abroad, the best man (his brother) has asked us all to chip in for the stag's flight and accommodation. Is this normal? I've only been on one similar jaunt before and I don't remember this being the case. I wouldn't really mind (especially as it's only £20 or so) but 1. this seems a bit unusual and 2. the stag is notorious for borrowing money and not paying it back, getting people to pay for him etc etc.
  17. You don't do yourself any favours. (although I watched it last week, guilty pleasure of mine)
  18. I'm not counting the Charity Shield or its equivalents.
  19. After seeing the England team visit Auschwitz, I wondered if the German team did the same. http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/156572#.T9SEtIl5mc1 They did but angered the German Jewish committee as only a few players went (still at least they wore suits), then Bierhoff said a word with a potentially upsetting double meaning and was accused of collossal insensitivity. As much as I find the idea of a German team triumphing in Poland a bit odd if not slightly unpalatable, the current side (only 2 of which are over 30 and only four are older than me) are not responsible for the crimes of the Nazis.
  20. For all his goals, his trophy haul this year is the same as Andy Carroll's.
  21. I suppose, but he could have gone about it in a way where he didn't threaten players with disciplinary action for standing up to racists
  22. Platini saying it's nowt to do with him if the tournament turns into a racism filled disaster, and also that players will be booked if they walk off due to racist abuse. What an absolute Cath word.
