  1. Yeah that is the rumour from here; Here Also MacGill is older then i thought... he is 35 so he is coming to an end aswell, wow! A revolution in cricket and time for some of the younger spinners to step up now i guess.
  2. There is a bloke called SCG MacGill, i hear he can bowl a bit.... Will be sad to see Warne and McGrath go at the end of the Ashes but Warney has said that if it is too much of a strain with his kids then he would retire. McGrath on the other hands is probably about time. His wife is ill still (i think) and it would be a nice send off for him at the SCG. 2 all time greats, gone like that. But im still clutching straws until i hear it from their mouths
  3. So have they caught him yet? There was a thingo in the paper today about how Interpol (not the band) have joined in as they think he skipped over to mainland Europe. Dodgy fucker, tbh.
  4. 2 balls after lunch and Monty is bowled by Warne. Ashes regained, time to get pissed.
  5. We now need one more wicket to regain the Ashes. England held the Ashes for 15 months, the shortest period that someone has ever held the Ashes for. Gerraint Jones, hilarious run out. Goes forward then down for a sweep off Warne, hits him in the groin, appeal for LBW but he is still out his crease and Ponting throws the stumps down so he is run out instead. The lads didnt know who to appeal to or where to run, was quite amusing. They keep showing a friend of mine on the TV. If you see a chick with an aussie bikini on thats a very good friend of mine
  6. Gilly, what a man! Hussey continues on and Michael Clarke continues to score runs aswell. Plenty of time to get the runs it is just a matter of whether you can.. obviously.

    UEFA draw

Some good games there with some of the bigger clubs remaining getting the boot. Hope on board the UEFA Cup winners bandwagon... who am i kidding actually. We wont win fuck all. Oh hangon we won the Intertoto thingo this year.
  8. Interesting days cricket, England with the upper hand and my man Monty is going great guns! So is the other main man in one Mike Hussey! What a gun. Symonds will be gone by the next test. Bye bye Giles! England with the upper hand heading into day 2. I so wish i could go along... Oh and i found this http://news.bbc.co.uk/sol/shared/spl/hi/ac...emy_panesar.pdf
  9. Im trying to pause going to work as i think we can knick a few points here at the death as Chelsea push forward for the win. But it is late here already and i must be off. Martins with the winner on 88 minutes, you know it makes sense
  10. Englands first win on tour occured tonight as the England Legends side beat the Australian Legends side in a 20/20 match. It was fantastic hitting from both sides with some big sixes hit and plenty of 4's as the old and weary legs couldnt match the pace of the ball across the WACA surface. Australia 171 and England made that with an over to go as Ian Healy came on to bowl the second last over and Hollioak decided to smash his first 2 balls for sixes. Ryan Campbell was on fire smashing a fine 59 i think it was before holding out at deep mid wicket. Thorpe and one other lad were doing it easy for England before a couple of wickets. Greg Matthews came on and Merv Hughes standing at long off was signalling to where the ball will be going and that was over the fence. Funnily enough the ball came.... and Merv caught it on the boundary line. All in all a good fun game for charity and there were quite a few English lads and lasses there. One Newcastle supporter with the crest tattooed onto his chest with what seemed like Alan Shearer's signature above it. Saw the English lad that runs the barmy army and Billy Cooper, the trumpet player, got to play a few songs at the interval. About 20,000 there for the match. At the end of the match walking back to a friends house i had to help quite a few of your lost english fellows get back to their hotels. Where is Northbridge? one asks and i point him in the right direction. Another says where is Francis St, with his map in hand. I pointed to the street and direct him there. Cant any of the English people read maps or follow signs?
  11. Cheers, there were heaps of supporters there! You could clearly hear them on the telly aswell. It was fantastic support.
  12. The first one was hilarious and hopefully the second one can live up to its billing. Hopefully it isnt like most sequals, which are utter shit. This is hilarious
  13. Voges hasnt been doing too badly with the bat this season. Can bowl a bit aswell but nothing terribly special. Kinda like Ashley Giles then? Seriously though I've never seen the lad Voges play before and I'm not overly convinced about Symonds, although I watched a few tests from the last Aussie summer and he was decent. Why isn't Jacques getting his chance? I've heard a lot of good things about him. Yeah well Jacques is an opener and i dont think they want to put him down the order.... thats the only thing i can think of. He will get his chance after the Ashes i would say. He will be good aswell, cracking player. Symonds is on and off and hit and miss. He can be amazing or amazingly shit. I guess you can say he is like a box of chocolates as you never know what you are going to get. Still think he can score runs in a quick hurry. He will just treat it as a one dayer no doubt. Voges made 31 against England in the tour match that finishes today at the WACA. Harmison got him out but he was expensive with figures of 1/99 off 20 overs. The next match is the Legends 20/20 with Australia v England on Tuesday night my time and then the real thing kicks in on Thursday. I had a ticket to Saturdays play for the test but i have my own cricket and therefore i cant make it! Im livid, tbh.
  14. Adam Voges from WA and Andrew Symonds have been called up to the 13 man squad. However a bit surprised that Chris Rogers also from WA didnt get called up as he is averaging like 94 or so this season and scoring runs left rigth and centre. I think they may give Symonds the nod due to his experience but it wouldnt surprise me if they give Voges a go in his home state. Voges hasnt been doing too badly with the bat this season. Can bowl a bit aswell but nothing terribly special. Average is around 42 or something.
  15. Was out of the box and Rossi stepped on the ball basically. What a weird performance as we dominated against 11 men but then when they went down to 10 it turned to pear shape. The second half was nervous and we were utter poo until Martins finished off the game. We could of done it even earlier had a few chances gone our way. First half was cracking though! Why werent their many supporters there? Why was the tier above our fans empty?
  16. Got a couple of emails today.... The Ashes explained... And this photo;
  17. Unfortunately i didnt get tickets at all but my friend she is hopefully going to give me a ticket to at least one of the days play. Amazingly she is in Adelaide at the moment and had tickets to all of the tests throughout Australia besides the first. Fantastic win! I feel for Flintoff and Flintoff only... well and Hoggard.
  18. Got to feel for Flintoff in that over. I dont know what KP was trying to prove or Jones was trying to do by stopping the ball with his pads? but that was an almighty fuck up! Martyn comes in and times the ball amazingly but hits a sweet shot straight to backward point.... Hussey is the man at the moment and Giles is utter
  19. The reverse sweep from Hussey was just hilarious and basically that shot put him out of the attack. But here he comes again... Bring my man Monty in at the WACA! Hussey and Ponting could coast this so i will say the stupid thing here and that is England need a wicket...
  20. And there goes Hayden after trying to do to Flintoff what he did 2 balls ago. 2/33 Now we are on the back foot. Interesting game. Meanwhile im still trying to beat Liverpool in FM07...
  21. The hot spot camera is magnificant just quitely! Cant believe you lot over in the UK arent getting it.... Im getting ahead of myself here but if and thats a big if! But if Australia win imagine what the English media will be like back home. I dare say the English players wouldnt want to even read their paper and probably not ours but ours isnt as bad as theirs.
  22. Well this is interesting. Agreed the Harmison decision did look like it was going too high but you just dont pad up like that... Warne has been great today and has really put in a great performance. Now it is like a one dayer, bring it on. 168 isnt too hard to get its just the overs will crept up with us. I mean if any team can do it, it will be Australia. What a fantastic days play and too think i was thinking this was just going to be a boring last days play!
