actually, that is tempting! ...used to watch that every week I did back in the day like, hit it's peak the season it focused more on the Youth Team I thought, with legends such as Warren and Sean Hocknell. I remember I started watching after that cup final "shootout" thing... and they bought Fletch back from Mallorca. It was always a shame that they had to change the squad/team/cast every season, would have been awesome to have some credible continuity from one season to the next.

I obviously wasn't there, but that's exactly how I imagined it would be. Like I was, people must have felt somewhat upbeat about taking a break from ridiculous results and finally bagging 3 points with the team bottom of the league coming to town. Only for NUFC to serve up one of their anticlimactic delusion specials.
