  1. Nice one, for the Saturday show?
  2. they done like 10 off the album and the shit beatles cover they done for charity, only on for about 50 minutes Tried to get tickets on friday, sold out within 3 minutes didn't know there was a 2nd leeds gig so thanks, will try get tickets for that do you know when they're on sale? 3 minutes? I got some straight away like, guess I was the lucky one! Tickets go on sale Friday apparently some sort of "presale" if you want I can pass you the link? It might work? EDIT: Sorry man I think the presale is sold out
  3. Is anyone a fan of The Music? They're splitting up but playing a couple of last shows, one in london, two in Leeds. They're by far the best and most energetic live band I've ever seen. Got tickets for the first Leeds show, they announce this morning that theres another show the day after! Would have prefered to go to the last ever but at least I get to see them! Got nothing coming up any time soon really, Rock am ring, arctic monkeys, foo fighters and We Are Scientists this summer.
  4. Can we really achieve a regular top 6 position when the top 4 spend absurd amounts of money, followed up by the likes of Tottenham, Liverpool who are too spending serious money? Spending on a shoe string will only get you so far and I think the kind of spending we'll be doing might put us top ten but I can't see top 6. Certainly not on a regular basis.
  5. I'm not really disagreeing with your fundamental underlying point here but let's not make out that their owners went and spent £57m of their own money. They reinvested the £50m they made by selling Torres and then paid a little extra. Agreed, but where as they went straight out and replaced Torres with Suarez and Carroll, it surely shows that all they were bothered about was re investing the money back into the transfer kitty where as ours is being invested into wages and most probably signing on fees! IYAM, Liverpool had accepted the offer in principle from Chelsea on the basis they could get cover, that cover being Carroll. They knew they were losing a player and were not happy to sell him until they were sure they had someone coming in. We on the other end decided to put bids in for Charles N'Zogbia! But we are no liverpool, they always had much more of a chance of getting a quality replacement. Id rather us survive till the end of the season and then address the situation with a quality replacement when much more is available than a panic buy that we'd be lumbered with in january. Fwiw i do think we will spend quite a bit in the summer and we'll all be pleasantly suprised. If not then even myself, the eternal optimist will turn. FMA has one last chance to get it right, this summer is it. We're not Liverpool no and we don't spend as much as them, however they knew Torres was off and found their replacement straight away, didnt pussyfoot about it, and stuck in an offer until we accepted. According to reports on the last day of the transfer window we all knew that there was a high chance Carroll would be sold, yet we paniced and didn't have any plan when the offer was finally accepted.
  6. It's quite disappointing really, Jose genuinely loves the club and loves the fans, If he was given a personal guarantee (not that a guarantee from NUFC is worth anything!!) that all that £35m was being spent on players and we were gunning for Europe I'd have thought he'd stay in a heartbeat!

  8. LM is absolutely spot on, whether they have CL football or not, the fact they spent £35m on Carroll and £23m on Suarez shows serious intent by the owners to get the club back into the top 4. Why wouldnt a player who's given a lot for our cause including relegation and helping us get promoted, want to stay at the club not really pushing for anything when he can go to a club who are pushing to get back into the greatest club competition in the world!? It's a bitter bitter pill to swallow but the fact is Liverpool are a club hell bent on trying to get back to where they feel they belong. Something we should aspire to.
  9. Wolves kind of reminded me of some games we played when we went down, when we had a decent spell we would fail to score. As soon as Everton took the lead they were in charge and could have quite easily added another 2 before the break! Can't see Wolves staying up in honesty
  10. ticket prices and train prices mean i'm staying away from this one. I lived in Birmingham for 6 years so normally this would be a definite. Hope we batter them, can't see it unfortunately
  11. Honestly wish they would shut the fuck up chatting about him like. So fucking tedious.
  12. I'll be going like, Both ties n all I think. Come on Darlo
  13. Thing is, I genuinely think a lot of them believe we've won nothing! especially the younger lot
  14. I've lived in Boro a few times over my life and it's true what Ketsbaia says, every single one of them is a complete fuckwit. The only ones I can actually stand are the mates I grew up with from School or the mates I have from Boro when I lived there. Match days have got steadily worse down there as well, I think they resent the fact that we couldn't give a shit about them really and they show that anger by getting aggressive with you. Forget having a post match pint in Boro (should you want to). Wasn't there bother in boro station last time we played them after the game?
  15. I don't think anybody would be disappointed with us finishing 10th to be honest, I thought we would struggle this season! It's important we push on though and aim for a top 7 finish next season
  16. The Little Comets gig was class, really enjoyed it, seen them about 3/4 times now and they really are a quality live band. They did the 4 men 1 guitar thing as well. Frankie & The Heartstrings play in Darlo on Friday 25th March, £4! Tickets here. Frankie have been tossers recently with gigs like, they cancelled a gig in Darlington a month or so back and they cancelled a gig in brum last weekend so they could go on soccer am apparently! Hopefully they won't cancel this one!
  17. I should have went Little Comets last night after the match, nevermind! So far this year i've been to Feeder and White Lies, I've got Interpol next month, Arctic Monkeys and Foo Fighters are booked up, then Rock AM Ring too Pretty sure Frankie & The Heartstrings are coming to Darlington soon too, will go see them
  18. I think this is different from the whole Carroll saga, I don't know if a team in the current climate would be willing to fork out an absurd amount of money for the type of player Tiote is, I could be talking bollocks but I just can't see a club coming in with a £25m (for example) offer. well done NUFC
  19. I'd keep him, at least until we have enough depth to get rid of him
  20. European nights at St. James are special and without wanting to sound cheesy, it's where Newcastle belong! If we have a chance to get into the europa then we should go for it! Plenty on here say we will never get into the Champions League again because of the wealth involved in England and a reluctant to spend owner yet some people are turning their nose up at the europa league!? it really does beggar belief! Do some users REALLY want us to sit mid table doing absolutely nothing next season over a European campaign!? I'd hazard a guess that those who do are the same ones who encourage the club to play fringe players and kids in cup games! If that's the case what the hell is the future of NUFC!? Can we get europa league? of course, but I don't think we will, if we get three wins from our next 3 games that puts us in a good position mind!
  21. It didn't grab me on first listen but after hearing it again last night It's quite a good album!
  22. Just seen the line up from last years Pukkelpop! absolutely superb! I might do that festival next year! thanks for the heads up Ant
  23. I like Coldplay, a lot of people don't and they're an easy target but i've liked them since I was young. They put on a hell of a live performance too
  24. I decided to do something a bit different this year, I'm going over to Germany for Rock Am Ring: Can't wait
  25. I've just today bought a PS3, done a system update created a profile for myself etc etc, however I can't seem to sign up for the PSN meaning I can't play online. Usually shouldn't there be an option to "sign up to PSN" ?, there's nothing there! There's options to sign in but nothing to sign up Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? The internet works fine on my PS3 as I had a quick browse before to make sure that the internet wasn't the problem. EDIT: Sorry scrap that! Problem solved
