  1. Don't think it will be high scoring, think it will be tight. Newcastle 1-0 Blackpool
  2. I'd take 17th right now. The team needs a lot of work imo
  3. I genuinely believe Krul will be off in the summer. He very nearly moved last summer and you could see how frustrated he was at our FA Cup exit because he knew he would get no more game time. As has been said above, I can't see him being happy with being stuck on the bench for the whole of next season (baring a couple of cup matches which we will inevitably play a weakened side ). With Fraser Forster having a great season for Norwich and apparent interest by some premiership clubs I think upon his return he will be wanting that place on the bench and will be more willing to sit on the bench waiting for his opportunity than Tim. I rate Krul and feel sorry for him that he hasn't got enough game time this season. Regardless of Harpers performance yesterday (which baring 1 mistake wasn't bad) He's been good for us this season.
  4. Cow horns? fucking hell. I'm glad we're getting out of this shite league, I might even go up to newcastle a couple hours early before the match , thats as much as i'll be "celebrating"
  5. Can't wait my first time on terracing supporting Newcastle. Been a few times with darlo but not with Newcastle
  6. Barbican is a lovely place to drink on the water front and some cracking real ale pubs!
  7. Liverpool have ripped them to shreads so far.
  8. Forest surely are gonna go for it on Monday, they need all points possible if they stand any chance what so ever of going up! Newcastle 3-1 Forest
  9. We should only concentrate on winning the league when promotion is assured IMO.
  10. Hughton has kept a level and collective head this season but surely any praise given to him has to be relevant to which division we are in and the side we have. There have been times i've came on here where Hughton has been slagged off because of his poor team selection/substitution/tactics. Similarly there have been times on here where the opposition has been slagged off for being poor and an absolutely toss league. With that in mind surely the praise Hughton gets should be fairly low key!? I believe Coloccini has settled in a bit better Enrique has looked head and shoulders above this league and Carroll is slowly getting better and better. But would you really expect anything less from them three players? alarm bells would certainly have been ringing if they havent. As for Jonas, I'm a fan of his but I think improvements in his game have been marginal that too is acreditted to the poor players he is playing against week in week out. His delivery is still poor which ever way you look at it. As has been said further up, we wont get rid of Hughton and we won't bring in Keane. But seriously I really worry for our safety next season with CH at the helm. And I don't think judging him by what he's done this season will change our fortunes at all. Hopefully i'm wrong and hopefully i have egg on my face. Personally, I cannot see it.
  11. Keane is head and shoulders above anything we have at Newcastle. If there was a chance of bringing in Keane next season surely any fan here would bring him in!
  12. Each to their own definitely. But Hughton hasn't a clue in my opinion. I don't believe for a second he's capable of keeping us up.
  13. Mowbray has been sacked/walked one of the two im not sure Either way he's no longer at Celtic. I rate Mowbray. he's had a bit of a tough time in Celtic but he was good at WBA. If he had more money they would have stayed up and they play attacking football. Robbie Keane won't be staying at Celtic because they cannot afford to keep him. My argument is, we would be in a much much much better position with a manger like Mowbray here and a player of Robbie Keanes ability (who i believe with Mowbray we would have a chance of getting) than we would be with Hughton and struggling to bring in someone who can make a difference up front this season. Thoughts? EDIT: Next season, not this season
  14. When Scunny beat us at their place It really was embarrasing because they were utterly shite that night too yet we allowed them to put their very limited football ability to the pitch. Last night they didnt get much of a sniff all game. They were out ran, out muscled, out played in every single department. It's not a reflection on how good we are or how poor they are. It shows the staggering gulf in this division that, even though they're in the relegation zone they could still quite conceivably stay up! that Nigel Adkins quote was a bit baffling like even if it was correct. I couldnt see any reason why we weren't going to get a result before KO yesterday. We've the best home record in the league and they've conceeded the most goals in the league away from home coupled with the fact they have only won 3 on the road.
  15. finally got round to seeing the pacific. I think it started a little slow but was still produced and acted. The end of the episode especially. It's set up perfectly for the start of the second which i'm expecting to be pretty bloody!

    Firefox Problems

Let me know if you do. At the moment I can put up with the high cpu usage as it isn't affecting other programmes on my computer and it still runs fast enough
  17. Am I being a bit OTT when I say Scunny were one of the worst teams we've played at SJP in a good 10 year spell? They're certainly up there for me, I had my ST since the 2000/01 season and off the top of my head I'm struggling to think of a league team we have played who have been as poor as that. Peterborough and Plymouth came to SJP this year but gave more than what Iron did last night It might be knee jerk but they are really out of their depth and it showed horribly.

    Firefox Problems

Lets have a little comparison if you will nyff? I have two windows open in firefox, one on toontastic and the other on facebook. my current cpu usage is: 121k IE with the same two tabs runs at 42k Chrome with the same two tabs runs at 88k in total (4 different chrome.exe when you have two tabs open) So FF has by far the most amount of CPU usage for two very easy to read web pages with no media etc. What is your FF cpu running at?
  20. Not sure if this has been posted further back but I had to laugh at this story when I read it today: From the evening gazette here in boro. Few things, if this parmo boy couldn't take the banter and couldn't hack getting wound up by opposition fans then he really needs to asses whether he should attend football matches. Banter and piss taking happens at every single match up and down the country every single week regardless of which teams are playing! For him to complain to a steward about a Newcastle fan clearly celebrating the fact we have scored a goal is beyond pathetic.
  21. Completely agree really. It's daft and petty to get worked up about something which is done just for charity, but I would have been furious if he had! Well on him for turning the opportunity down
  22. Left luggage I believe closes at 8. So maybe there is more panic? As for game, We should win comfortably
  23. Are you downloading the 720p version? I'm just downloading normal version as I don't have a HD TV/Monitor. Either way I'm 'kin excited! Band of Brothers is one of the best miniseries I have ever seen!

    Firefox Problems

I had (and still do have) problems with CPU useage. Completely uninstalled deleted the programme from the registry and re installed. The problem is a little better but it's still using excessive CPU in comparison to Chrome. Actually debating moving completely over to Chrome, With the ammount of time/money they're plugging into this I wonder if it will ever get to the same popularity that Firefox has at the moment?
