  7. We might not be able to see it though as the white sheet he wears over his face most of the time will mask any tache he has. It's a pillow case for the neighbours When would I have to show off my hitler tash? It runs throughout September and you are meant to grow it during that period Bobby. So you would need to have your hitler tash then if thats what you are planning to do You are more than welcome to join us.
  8. Hes not going to do it But big thanks for the donation Alex.
  9. West Ham have confirmed talks for striker Eidur Gudjohnsen are ongoing, but nothing has been agreed with Barcelona. The former Chelsea ace has been interesting The Hammers after Thierry Henry's arrival pushed him down Frank Rijkaard's pecking order. Gudjohnsen is believed to be available for just £6.7million, although the player's lofty demands are reportedly deterring other clubs from joining the hunt. West Ham supremo Eggert Magnusson has denied the East Londoners have concurred on a price with Barca, but stated talks are continuing. "Talks are ongoing," Magnusson confirmed to virir.is. "We have not had an offer accepted by Barcelona - the papers are wrong." Manager Alan Curbishley may be prepared to push the boat out even further for Gudjohnsen following the side's disappointing 2-0 defeat to Manchester City on the opening weekend of the new season.
  10. I will be missing the game as I am at a wedding but heres a post for the rest of you to make arrangements in.
  11. 1203: GOAL Arsenal 0-1 Fulham An absolute howler. Jens Lehmann makes a hash of a clearance from Gael Clichy's back pass and David Healy pounces to score in the first minute of his Fulham career. The worst possible start to the campaign for Arsenal.
  12. Whoops cheers Pud too. Though I was in Spain when you donated..
  13. Aye I did. He had a canny game with some decent saves. Celtic just had a 5 minute spell where everything went right for them, the rest of the game Krul looked very good and received alot of praise from the commentators.

  17. West Ham boss Alan Curbishley has confirmed the club have held talks with Derby over the signing of Giles Barnes. Curbishley also refused to completely rule out that possibility of resurrecting the Kieron Dyer deal which collapsed last week. Barnes is one of the most sought after young players in England and played a huge part in helping Derby to the Premier League. After seeing the Rams promoted, it was expected that Barnes would stay put at Pride Park. However, Curbishley has now revealed that The Hammers have been talking with Derby about a possible deal for 19-year-old - who was actually born in East London. "We have been looking at the situation and we have spoken to Derby about it," Curbishley revealed to Sky Sports News. The Hammers boss revealed that the two clubs cannot agree a fee for Barnes. "At the moment nothing is happening - their valuation is not where we are at and he is a Derby player so I shouldn't be talking too much about it." Curbishley did admit that he could revive his interest in Dyer - after Newcastle pulled the plug on the deal last week. "It is a difficult situation, lets just say we found it very difficult so we will have to see what happens and unfortunately Kieron Dyer is stuck in the middle and we will have to see what happens." Hammers chairman Eggert Magnusson has again vented his again at Newcastle, who asked for an extra £2million for Dyer, after a deal for £6million had been struck. "The fact that Newcastle moved the goalposts in the middle of the game is not how to do business," he said. "They had given us permission to speak to the player, he had had a medical and we had agreed a fee when we received a phone call that they wanted £2million more for the player." Magnusson himself does not see how the Dyer deal could be resurrected. "We could not believe it. But I think the deal is now gone and I feel very sorry for the player, he wanted a move, he wanted to come closer to his family in Ipswich and now that has gone," he added. "I think this business with Newcastle has shown that we are not prepared to pay any price that a club puts on a player. If there are perceptions that we will do that, they are not correct."
  18. Depending on who we bring in between now and the end of the season we might have a pretty small transfer budget first season. We try to work out what we think the transfer budget will be for the summer back in April and then deduct all summer net spend on transfers from that to leave the starting budget on the game. With Ashley coming in I obviously had to make some changes, so if we do splash the cash on more players before the deadline, or if we don't sell Dyer or anyone else the starting budget will not be very big. This is because all signings from the summer are already included in your squad when you start the game despite replaying the summer and pre season. Remeber Mort said money is there if needed. Remember Greg set the budget long before Mort was even appointed..
