  1. Thank you to both Meenzer and JawD. Great stuff lads. So far we have raised £110 in 3 days, superb stuff. I done a double page spread on it for the magazine I design locally, so hopefully that helps bring in some more donations, I just need to get working on the website.
  2. Confirmed that he hopes to tie up both the Cacapa and Smith deals on .co.uk
  3. An inmate from an open prison in Lincolnshire has been signed to play for Boston United Football Club. Prisoner Rob Wesley, 23, is currently serving a four-and-a-half-year term at North Sea Camp prison for his part in thefts from supermarket cash machines. The defender will be allowed out for training and games with the Pilgrims as part of a rehabilitation scheme. Boston United's general manager John Blackwell said the club had worked with the prison for the past 20 years. "He's done something wrong and I think it's the first thing he's done wrong," said Mr Blackwell. "He deserves a chance and we're here to give him a chance and here to help him and help the prison. "Hopefully this will make him a better person. From what he's done so far, you can see how well he's done." In a statement, the Prison Service said: "The government has developed resettlement regimes in the open prison estate designed to improve the resettlement outcomes of suitable prisoners coming towards the end of long sentences. "At all key stages of the process the prisoner is subject to rigorous risk assessments to determine suitability for the scheme and the progressive trust placed in them."
  4. For copyright reasons in use of images I am trying to stay away from celebs etc
  5. This thread is actually a Market Research thread. I am working on a project where I using different types of "pairings". An example of some being "salt and pepper", "dog and bone", "needle and thread" etc... Which ones can you think of?
  6. Oh yay Anton Ferdinand and Nigel Quashie...
  7. I signed up and hadn't noticed the latest e-mail in my junk folder, cheers for the tip off! Who do you think we're going to buy? I hope it's Chesterfield. No real reason except that's where Elgin signed Ricky James from. Most want Cambridge by the looks of things.
  8. True Faith reckon he has failed a medical with them
  9. Did anyone else register interest in this? I just got an e-mail asking me for membership fees if I want to go ahead with this claiming that they have interest from clubs. "Three football club owners - one from League Two and two from the Conference - have contacted MyFootballClub with a view to sell."
  10. Manchester City have struck a £5.7million deal with Fiorentina for Valeri Bojinov, according to reports in Italy. The Bulgarian striker spent last season on loan at Juventus but only made a handful of appearances and was not offered a full-time contract. He is not looking to return to Fiorentina and admits a move to the Premier League would be ideal. "I hope I never have to come back to Fiorentina again," Bojinov told Gazzetta dello Sport before flying home to Bulgaria with his agent at the weekend. "England would be a perfect solution." City are understood to have lodged a bid with Viola earlier this week and it now appears a deal is in place. Sven Goran Eriksson has been working hard to strengthen his squad since being appointed as City boss and has already brought in four new faces. As well as Bojinov's Bulgarian compatriot Martin Petrov, Eriksson has also signed Rolando Bianchi, Gelson Fernandes and Geovanni.
  11. Nothing to add but yes, I was impressed with his professional attitude. I think he's a manager that will command respect and as a tactician he is second to none. Last week you were getting a bit depressed/negative about next season, but you say you're reassured after last night. Was he that impressive? I wish I'd fucking gone! I was impressed actually, and so was Tom by the sounds of it. Mind, I got there for 5 to get a seat and was a wee bit pissed by the time he came on at 7.30! You pissed? I don't believe you for a minute...
  12. Newcastle chairman Chris Mort has hit out at fans for launching a hate campaign against Kieron Dyer. Unsettled midfielder Dyer has come in for criticism from some Newcastle fans as he looks to secure a move away from St James' Park. The England international was booed when he came on a substitute in last weekend's friendly win over Juventus and he has also seen his house targeted by angry supporters. Mort fears the anger directed towards Dyer could affect the club's chances of luring top talent to Tyneside. "We have got to make all our current players and potential new signings see Newcastle as a great place to live," Mort told the Daily Star. "It would be disastrous for the club for this sort of behaviour to be repeated."
  13. His name was being mentioned when Sam was being linked/Roeder was on his way out.
  14. Happy Birthday, you mental "Bevvy Merchant"
