I do not think i am being OTT, i have said what i think of him in another thread, and this opinion is one i have had all season, and stand by it that i think he is an average player. I would love him to prove me wrong but IMO i do not think he will be the player some on here think he is/hope he will be.

Though saying that only if Robertson and Walford join him as they are the coaching and tactical men. I think he would bring the motivational skills we seen under the likes of Keegan etc and is someone who gets the best out of his players. I also feel he is a highly ambitious man and would not be coming here just for the paycheck. I do think he will definately tighten us up at the back though that would not be hard. I think the long ball thing is a bit of a myth and much like we have done in previous years is a tactic adopted when needed. Celtic did play alot of the ball on the deck however with Sutton and Hartson, whoever was playing alongside Larsson at the time obviously if things were not going their way they would at time play a long ball in the hope for a flick on much like we done with Shearer/Bellamy. I would say my reservation is that in the transfer market. Not that hes made bad signings but the fact that nearly all of his signings over the years have been British based. This however could be a good thing what with the amount of overseas players we have had that have not settled over the years. When you ask how he would fit into the current set up i think it all depends on who comes in and who goes out of the door in the summer as i feel at present the squad has not enough depth yet alot of what we have is average and i think any new manager will have a alot of work to do.

To be fair though the likes of Shearer were playing top level football in their teens. Ramage is what 22 if he was going to be good enough he would have made the breakthrough long before now.

surely whether luque is on his way or not should be down to whoever our next manager is. I think Luque could be a great player for us but is taking some time to settle in. Whoopy do, most player take a couple of seasons to get used to the pace and to be fair luque has had very little chance to show what he can do for us. If Luque is on his way out, we should be trying to strike up a deal now with a club for him to move on in the summer. For every week he does not get a game or does get on the pitch with so little time to even get a chance to make an impact his value is dropping.

I know its all down to personal opinion and all that but I honestly have to disagree, hes given 100% every game, been up and down that wing with Solano and frankly appears to have created a canny partnership with little Nobby. To the point where today I felt Nobby was a bit missing in action and now I think its down to Ramage having a bad un, he lost his main feeder. Again, my memory is shot to shit but it was only the other week where he made about 3 clearances off the line in one game. Frankly for me he was one of the few that could hold his head up during some of the darker days games. 105846[/snapback] I do not disagree that he gives 100% and puts in some good performances i do however have question marks over his ability at the highest level. For me he gets hyped up a bit to much but who wouldnt being compared with his defensive partners of Boumsong, Elliott and Babayaro. Overall he'll do a turn when needed but IMO will never be the standard of player needed for the level that people expect us to be at. Like HTL i hope he proves me wrong and develops into a wonderful player, i just do not see enough in his game at the moment to convince me of this.
