There is a culture difference - it would be hard to imagine a British newscaster doing an opinion piece to camera as they do in the states. Those I find fair enough even if they are bat shit crazy but as mentioned actually reporting stuff you've arranged as spontaneous for News purposes is dodgy.

Last time I was in the US we were regularly presumed to be Scandanavian or German.

I met an American once who was telling me how much he'd impressed on his kids the need for travel to broaden the mind (fair enough) which he said he'd decided after one two week trip to Europe when he was a student. I guess that means my two one week trips to the US mean I can tick that box as done.

I would also add that Keegan's take was that even knowing the size of the squad, he considered Gonzalez not good enough and a waste of time - we also know the idiots didn't even expect him to play in the first team by their evidence.

Taken in isolation that's a fair enough take - it sounds OTT to walk out. I think now people accept that that was either the final straw or a convenient excuse depending on your pov.

I'm on the one hand happy that Moat hasn't blabbed about his plans as other so called bidders have but obviously that leaves him open to the kind of "he's struggling for money" speculation we are seeing. Obviously the dream is that he has been playing hard ball to screw Ashley before revealing mega-backing but that's probably too much to ask for.

I love this idea that gaining favour with these Agents was worth the Gonzales deal/pissing KK off. First of all undefined "youngsters" from SA who are any good would be more likely to go elsewhere and secondly as has been said this was the culmination of a transfer window which had left the squad criminally weak - as proven by its relegation (when combining the weakness with a fuckwit manager). I would also now like to have a look at what agents were used on the other deals and what their links with Jiminez and Vetere are.

When people suggest that there are better candidates than Shearer as manager and then name these people, none of them are anywhere near as good as Keegan.

Saw one the other day where he (Beck) was lamenting the latest polls which show an increase in "non-religous" people in the US. Basically all of the US's problems were down to these Godless bastards. I honestly thought it would be impossible for anyone to watch it and not laugh at how stupid he sounds but then realised how many think the same.

Possibly but it refers to Keegan's personal relationship with the player - it may not have worked but the critics forget that the man was a master at persuading players to sign for us and then getting the best out of them. That's what they overlook when they suggested replacements/alternatives like Zola, Bilic or a random one season spanish wonder.

I think the press will take the huff that they were misled by the club's lies - something anyone with half a brain realised anyway.

That's another angle they'll try and use - the deal "made sense". What they won't say is that they'd failed in a more important task - improving the squad over the summer. Clubls like Man U can afford to sign a token Asian (though Park is a good player) for commercial/favour reasons - we couldn't and can't.

I'm not an expert on this but I think the old "the brain is the biggest sexual organ" thing is actually true. I know hormones do play a part but impotent men still want to have sex for example - I don't think castration, chemical or otherwise necessarily stops desire.

That's what I said earlier If it is purely brain chemistry then removing hormones won't make a difference as far as I understand.

Theres some fucker in the Chron comments highlighting that the £25m was true - I'd imagine thatbeing the thing idiots will cling on to - Taylor in the Guardian mentions it as well. My reading was that he went in withthe extra £16m but accepted during the hearing it wasn't fair.

Just finished reading the verdict - all I can say is that it proves EVERYTHING we have said about the scum running the club. Overall it's the best of both worlds - Keegan vindicated and the scum exposed but with a damage limiting amount of compen. Take that you fat cockney cunt.

I think even in this country the outrage at "Paedo only gets 5 years" is wasted as that's consideration for parole which in reality never happens for the really dangerous ones.
