I can only assume that his goals tally this season keeps you happy? 8 in 6 months is NOT a respectable total for a player of Shearers (now obviously gone) talents. Given the choice of starting this season with Bellamy or Shearer I personally would have the former and would have wished the latter a happy and long retirement. I fear that Shearer for the first time in his career has put his personal ambition (201 and counting) ahead of what is best for NUFC. 95454 Obviously gone talents? I think his only gone talent is his pace and stamina. But, if youre going on about goals records, have a check at Bellamys goal record for us all together: http://www.soccerbase.com/players_details.sd?playerid=10692 Not exactly Shearer material. 95455 Compare this season. I'd guess without looking that Bellamy has scored more than Shearer (and Owen I think) this season. Unfortunately Shearers BIG goal tallies are behind him so there's no point in calling for comparisons. Live for tomorrow - yesterdays goals though often spectacular (and many), are meaningless as in they can't improve our present position. My only hope is that we now have, and will hopefully get, a more Shearer friendly manager who'll maintain the wingers and see Shearer depart with a respectable total.

Bellamy was irreplacable - Shearer was very replaceable. We should be playing Bellamy and Owen up front. 95443 WAS very replaceable? So has Shearer become unreplaceable all of a sudden? 95444 WAS and still IS

Blackburn are 7th now and just one point off Arsenal who are 5th. If ever proof was needed that Souness is a shit manager who has now left three clubs in a much worse state than before, this is it (not that he was to blame for anything of course). 95382 Gave away our best players for next to nothing. 95423 Andy O'Brien was not in our best player category. 95424 Our former manager said "he is the type of player we want at this Club" About 6 months before he sold him. To be fair to Souness he spent £8m to replace him with a worse player. 95426 We replaced O'Brien 6 months before we sold him? Clever. 95428 We bought Owen 12 months before he's needed to replace Shearer.

Hindsight 95125 Do you attend the matches? 95128 As if I'd pay to watch that rabble of shite. Anyone who does should hang their heads tbh 95136 That's one notch up in the soopafan hierarchy from those that attend the games but don't applaud defeat and go to away games but don't take their shoes. All you have to do now is refuse to watch MOTD and fantasise about beating up Dyer and you reach nirvana. 95148 So glad you pay me so much attention. 95199 You're a legend on N-O man Cobh, shame you were banned for racist comments 95201 Does it please you that I'm labelled a racist?

Parker is here on big wages after a big fee was paid for him. I personally think he doesn't create enough or score enough in a 4-4-2 formation. He'd be the perfect 'Makalele' clone in a 5 man midfield but is a bit of a passenger as far as creativity from midfield is concerned. He needs to up his forward play or his long term use to the team will be negligable.

I'll take that as 'no I wasn't' Oh and by the way, erm, do you............? 94717 94719 No argument? - scared to answer? All hail the humble smiley! 95046 I go to the games but unlike certain people I don't feel the need to play the soopafan card everytime someone disagrees with me. I think it's a tad pathetic, not to mention desperate. 95074 But I am a 'soopafan' - and if anyone disagrees they are all quite obviously idiots aren't they?
-
He was putting in Man of the Match performances before SBR got sacked. Eg. Boro 2 v 2 Toon. MOM by a landslide.

Alex (male or female? never quite sure) 1, Where you at Cardiff? 2, Where you happy with what you saw? 3, Did you applaud abject failure? Can you understand why the Club are incapable of winning anything when we accept defeat with applause?
-
Only good aspect to Nicky Butts Toon career was the fact he openly admitted to being embarrassed by his own and his teams performance in Cardiff. At least he had the balls to leave the pitch with his head down and not hang around for the sickening applause handed out to his team mates by the the fucking idiots in the stands.

The ONLY way Woodgate should be let through the door at SJP again is on a 'pay as you play' contract. Anything else will offer no value for money whatsoever.

There'll be no more on 'online' - I'm a racist don't you know?
-
Is starting to fulifill all the credentials that Freddie looks for in a manager. Taking a mediocre Club down. Is a cunt. Get him signed Fred - you know it makes sense.
-
They're appealing his card. The Toon want it extended to at least a 5 game ban. Hopefully the FA will show us sympathy in our cause.
-
He's flying into Glasgow were a special fight has been planned in the centre circle at Parkhead, Hitzfeld v O'Neill over three rounds - the winner to manage NUFC.
-
You'll have to be more specific with the first one, I can't get it. The second one stands to reason doesn't it? It even rhymes 93331 Although he's not English he shares his nationality with England's manager/head coach. Same 'first name' as Flintoff... 93359 I tell you what, Cheryl would be livid if she finds out. Chance for me yet then!

I was the only sensible poster on that board!

O'Neill: The right man at the wrong time?
Ugly Mackems replied to Asprilla's topic in Newcastle Forum
O'Neill would in my opinion take us back to CL football. As i've said elswhere recently he's made every Club he's managed ultimately much better than when he arrived and yet has never worked with the financial clout that NUFC can (hopefully) offer him. Despite all the Hitzfeld shite that is being bandied about I think O'Neill offers a more realistic chance of landing what in my opinion is a top notch manager. -
I seriously think I'd try and do him physical harm if I were ever (lucky enough) to bump into him. Any club that lets the clueless cunt darken their door will deserve all the shit that's coming there way.
