Gejon 2
I must admit I heardly saw or heard Pattison today, thats ok if he is a defensive midfielder but considering he is playing in an attacking position its not really good enough. Did ok helping out the defence but its not like we were playing Man United or someone of that level, did Pattison offer anything in an attacking sence apart from gettin on the end of Milners cross? TOPTOON 0
I can live with a shite performance like that as long as he wins us the game, it's hard for a striker to make an impact when his team is under pressure like ours was for most of the game. It was like Robert all over again. Rubbish, Martins put the graft in. Agree with luckyluke, Martins put the graft in today, as he always does!!! He's a really hard working player who luckily for us is capable of very special things!
luckyluke 2
I thought Given was solid as opposed to spectacular, by his standards. He couldn't have been better though, if that makes any sense.
Keefaz 0
Shay Given - 7.5 Nolberto Solano - 7.5 Steven Taylor - 7.5 Peter Ramage - 6 Paul Huntington - 6.5 James Milner - 6.5 Nicky Butt - 7.5 Kieron Dyer - 7.5 Matty Pattison - 6 Antoine Sibierski - 6 Obafemi Martins - 7.5 Something like that, at least. Ugly Mackems 133
Given 9 Some world class save us kept us in the game. Nobby 6 Not at his best today. Taylor 2 Responsible for both their goals Ramage 7 Did well Hunty 7 Did well Milner 6 Not too good today. Butt 9 Good today. Pattison 0 We beat them with 10 men Dyer 5 Wasn't sure he was playing at times Le Sib 5 Poor and largely ineffective. Martins 1 and 7 before and after the goal. Keefaz 0
Bollocks more like. First one, he had to go over to close down Berbatov or he would've been in 1 on 1, and Defoe was offside regardless. Second, I don't see how anyone could've been played offside in the entire build-up. The ball came off Nobby straight to Berbatov who fired it in. Ugly Mackems 133
If Taylor had stepped up as high as the other 3 defenders they would have been 100% offside in the build up to both goals. MOTD will prove me right

Gejon 2
It was offside though, assistant ref was blind which he proved when he must have missed Chimbonda slapping Butt! (yeah i did have a little giggle typing that!)
Matt 0
Given 9 Pulled us out of the shit today. Nobby 7 Did OK overall, but got caught out of positions a bit too often. Taylor 6 Not as dominant as in recent weeks. Ramage 6 Shaky opening but recovered well. Hunty 7 Got the goal, fairly solid. Milner 5 Final ball was very poor. Butt 7- Good goal- didn't get a hold of the game but given no assistance. Pattison 5- Not in the game at all. Dyer 6- Good running, first touch really let him down. Le Sib 5- Zero impact. Lack of quality laid bare for all to see. Martins 8- Thought he did well given that he had no support at all. Goal was class, of course.

Shearergol 0
So Taylor was at fault for not making Defoe MORE offside than he already was?
Ugly Mackems 133
So Taylor was at fault for not making Defoe MORE offside than he already was? When Malbranc passed to Defoe, Defoe WAS offside - but, had Taylor stepped up for the original pass over the top then Malbranc would very likely have been offside. Milner 7 - Probing Butt 9 - Off his sick bed to produce a magnificent show Pattison 7 - Always willing Dyer 8 - Caused Tainio problems all game Le Sib 7 - Show full of heart Martins 8 - Wondergoal Comment United went to London hoping for a draw, they rode their luck at times but weren't they magnificent in N17. Guest stevieintoon
I shouldn't read The Sun, the standard of reporting is total shite but I'm disgusted with Mark Irwin's report today. These are the marks he gives Given 9 Solano 5?!?! Huntingdon 5 Ramage 5 Taylor 5 Milner 6 Dyer 4 Butt 4 Pattison 6 Sibierski 5 Martins 6 Quite clearly he is a nobhead Spurs fan, many of the media are, who is a bitter, bitter man today. Anyway I've told him what he can do with his match report and ratings at m.irwin@thesun.co.uk Edited January 15, 2007 by stevieintoon
Delima 0
Given - 9 - Excellent reflex. Let down by some uncomposed defending in front of him. Solano - 8 - Lack of speed compensated by excellent reading of the game. Huntington - 8 - Intelligent. Ramage - 5 - Tormented by Defoe and Berbatov. Effort could not make up with defensive inability. Taylor - 7 - Terry's spirit and Ferdinand' touch. Milner - 8 - Very good. Lost possession a few times but use the ball very wisely. Dyer - 7 - Direct. Butt - 8 - Good goal and some verdy good defending. But couldn't control the game. Pattison - 5 - Too quiet. Not at fault as the team seems instructed to channel the ball down the right. Even Given kick all his balls to the right. Sibierski - 7 - Good link up play between midfield than Martins. Martins - 9 - Poorly supported. But deliver when it matters. Robinson - 5 - Some telly saves but very poor in general. A liability more than an asset nowadays for Spurs. Chimbonda - 8 - Good full back display. Despise him for his behaviour though. Dawson - 6 - Fail to impose himself. Davenport - 5 - Even poorer than Dawson. Lee - 8 Good full back display. Lennon - 8 - Skillful. Taimo - 6 - Poor Huddlestone - 7 - Good. But need to stamp his authority more. Malbranque - 9 - Fantastic. Spurs can forget about Downing, Wright-Phillip, Duff and N'Zogbia now. Berbatov - 9 - Excellent Defoe - 9 - Excellent

Nicky Butt 4 - are you taking the piss? You have to be. He's been in bed all week, lost nearly a stone and kept battling like a lion. Give me the name of your editor please, because people like you do no favours to the paper at all. Your mickey mouse club have now lost to us 3 times in 8 months conceding 9 goals, Newcastle were magnificent yesterday given the fact we have 13 injuries, and basically young boys playing. I expect to beat Spurs.
