When I was at Longbenton I even went as far as enrolling to do an NVQ, of which i had no intention of completing, just for the 8 days special leave you got with it. In one year I got 25 days annual leave, my 8 days for the ghost NVQ and around 4 months sick on top of that. Why the fuck i left that place I'll never know. The plebs that they have working for them in other countries get half that though. Thats the beauty of working "continental" shifts, 12hr days, 12hr nights, weekends, bank holidays, often doing 50hrs+ a week, they do "reward" me with some time off, and by then I fucking need it. It was, I done the first couple of pieces then when she came to visit me again i said I'd forgot my file, then she was off sick herself. The next time I deliberately booked the day off. By this time I'd had my eight days and she and the NVQ were no longer of any use to me so I went on the sick with my bad shoulder, which was actually bad just not as bad as them cocksuckers thought. So he went, the doctor took his blood pressure and noticed it was high, so he's having to get blood tests and all sorts now. Typical working day at work is 9-3:30 but then there is the marking and planning. Didnt finish til midnight last night. Similar tonight but its better than a proper job. Well I'm entitled to 27 days + bank holidays etc. But in reality, the last day off I had outside of the normal holidays (christmas, new year etc) was last year during the world cup!
