1727: Stoke keeper Thomas Sorensen is injured by Alan Hutton as he collects the ball. Ibrahima Sonko goes to remonstrate with Hutton and also clips the keeper on the head. The keeper is replaced by Steve Simonsen.

Sheffield Wednesday's in 1999 (when we beat them 8-0) was pretty bad, and the mackems'' two then-record low points totals must have been pretty shocking too. Derby beat us early in their record breaking campaign though.

All teams that plummeted out of the league though, weren't they?

It doesn't look good for them at all. IMO it's down to the carry on with stringing out the Berbatov sale. The remaining team don't seem to have a clue and have had the heart ripped out of the side (particularly with Keane going as well).

Individually, the players are way, waaaaaay better than this - something the other clubs who have been mentioned couldn't really boast.

Jenas showing his true class with a free kick.

Corluka off to hospital...

Someone on 365 posted Spurs next 4 fixtures...

Bolton (H)

Arsenal (A)

Liverpool (H)

Man City (A)

I can't see them getting anything from 3 of those games, they may beat Bolton.

Surely it is no accident that the bottom two clubs in the Premier League both employ the "continental" structure.

Agreed. But Ashley still maintains it was the foundations of success... :jesuswept:

2-1 FT.

Tottenham can win two and still be bottom. They are truly in freefall now.

Shocking tackle by Dawson, never mind this "he got the ball" business, his studs were five inches off the ground.

This result just makes the City game even more massive.
