Consoles are for games, PCs are for porn. That's all you need to know about IT.

A* if you can put that in a spreadsheet.

You do realise IT is a written test?

Btw, is that your daughter in your dp? If not, I hate to think of what you do in your free time.

Congratulations on making a complete twat of yourself there btw.

I was joking man, calm.

Even if it has built in 3d card, cant it have a AGP or PCI slot so you could add your own?

Depends, some of the ones from PC World don't, not too sure about Dell's haven't had one. ;)

Dells should I think, be a good idea to have a look inside to make sure before buying one though, I suppose.

Attain looking at the spec its got the following;

PC PCI Express Ports: PCI - 2 slots, PCIe x1 - 1 slot, PCIe x16 - 1 slot

Have a look at somewhere like Dabs for a card

As for games, well, IMO you cant beat the old classics, Counter Strike Source and Day of Defeat, I still play Battlefield 2 and also a new one out which you may like Battlefield Company of Heroes

Noooo BF2 has been out for about 5 or 6 years now. There is BF 2142, thats been out about 2, its same as 2 but its futursitic, the only problem with EA IMO. They had great ideas with BF 1942, BF:V & the updated BF2 was great, then they saw how loyal the BF fans were and tried leeching more cash out of them with 2142!

BF2 runs on slower systems so you still get some hardcore players on their who havent upgraded etc. Its still got a good community etc try Battlefield Jolt

Still a gold thread tho ;)

If you want a decent but cheapish graphics card

Pickup a Geforce 8800GT 512mbs pci-e card

it's still the best bang for your buck in the <£100 range

Yup, you should get a there or there abouts cheapest price from there.

I seriously want to delete the thread now because I am ashamed of one of the comments I said.

Id start with Manic Miner and work on from there.

Oh, and why not just edit your comment? Unless its been quoted like (cant be arsed to check) in which case tough titty.

Just play Thief and Deus Ex.

and Grim Fandango.

new games are shit.

Theres a new DeusEx coming out

(deus ex 1&2 give grief on dual+ processor machines as well, takes some tweaking to get it going)

Meh, so long as they don't console it almost to death as they did Deus Ex: Invisible War (was ok, but not a patch on the first).

Syndicate, Champ Man 01/02, Civ III and that'll do nicely. Alex is right, why play games on a pc? Consoles are better for the graphic intensive fodder we gorge on these days.
