Tbh my stage/studio setup has simplified itself to P90 > Fuzz > Amp so I really want to make sure I explore more out there stuff whilst at home so my playing/creativity don’t stagnate too much. I saw a lad playing one of these in Liverpool on saturday and thought it sounded/looked class. He let me have a look and I really liked it. Very much the opposite of my LPJ Sorry to be "that guy" again but I'll need to be more specific than that. What's the fuzz? You still rocking the fuzz factory or moved onto some other fuzz face variant?

Thats a long standing point of contention and a huge can of worms. I lean a little in favour of the people who will tell you "that's not a fuzz" despite loving most incarnations of that said pedal. Tom 14283
Ah fair enough. As mentioned - tempted for a superfuzz I’m honestly not baiting though
Blastronaut 1368
Try the JHS Supreme if you get a chance, it's probably the most versatile of the Superfuzz options out there that I'm aware of. Nothing wrong with the other options but they're pretty much just one trick ponies.
Tom 14283
Yeh a supreme is on the list! On 7 String Les Paul news this thing is an absolute beast. I’ve played some high quality Epiphone’s in my time and have a lot of respect for the brand but this is by far the best I’ve played. A couple of cosmetic differences aside it responds & feels like the Gibson equivalent. The pickups are strange but wonderful, im just trying to learn what the buttons do Pleased to report its very versatile and not just a shreddy/metal guitar. The tones/playability are both off the scale, everything comes easily once you get used to it. Over the moon!

Gemmill 52474 Posted Friday at 08:40 Share Posted Friday at 08:40 This thing is mint. She's demoing it here using a sample quote from a film with a drum loop added, but you can piss about sampling guitar bits in and then mangle the fuck out of them in the same way as she is here (plus LOADS of other stuff). Or just load other samples and drum loops etc. It comes with four different synth engines and a fully functioning sampler and it's basically a Game Boy but for music. It's based on the old tracker format that original computer music was done on, so it looks like a spreadsheet which is always good. It's eight tracks but you can resample inside the machine so you can keep freeing up new tracks. I used to practice and learn new stuff on guitar, but I never intended to play it anywhere so it all felt a bit pointless. Now I just load nonsense into this thing, mangle it, chop it up and fanny about with it, earphones in. Hours of fun. Here's some tuneful nonsense someone's come up with on it. It can get down to 2 watt RMS using low power and single ended mode which is plenty for my office and cranked its very loud in that room. Shit it sounds good though, and it so far plays really nicely with my pedalboard which hasn't been the case with my Katana for a while. Gain 1 reacts really well to rolling back the volume on my guitar and splitting pickups gives a surprisingly sparkly clean, that then becomes a really smooth overdrive if I put on the Nux Steel Singer. adding in the Keeley Caverns and/or Astral Destiny gets into really nice sustaining ambient territory. Gain 2 is full metal, sounds amazing just on its own and then gets super tight modern metal with the precision drive in front of it. Victory do indeed make some right good amps, definitely more my thing than my Sheriff was (which was also brilliant tbf)

But you are correct, the Victory stuff is pretty fuckin awesome.

It really struggled with my pedals for some reason though, with the exact same setup as the victory it just didn't work, reverbs and delays in particular were really noisy and weird, I never fully understood why.
