There won't be a mid-season rule change, basically.

you know I'll bet you £ 5 to charity that soem sort of forced stop will be reintroduced before the end of this season's F1, my young shaver......................

No rule change has been introduced, has it? Trying to renege on a £5 bet ;)

Formula 1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone remains as sharp-witted and busy as ever – even though later this week he will celebrate his 80th birthday.

Although Ecclestone joked with a few journalists on Saturday that the only birthday present he wanted was 'just getting there', Red Bull Racing made sure to give him something a bit extra special on race morning.

After turning up in the Red Bull garage, Ecclestone was presented with his very own unique walking frame – just in case he ever needed any help in getting around.

The frame featured a Red Bull Racing front wing, some cans of the energy drink and a very special steering wheel that featured buttons for: Viagra, power, nurse, lawyer, accountant and his assistant Pasquale Lattuneddu.

Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner and driver Sebastian Vettel were on hand to give Ecclestone his gift – which he took in good humour.

I will pay as I did say rules change - perhaps I should have been more precise but that's the way the cookie crumbles

but you admit they do stop???

Precisely. There was a crazy season a few years back when the tyres had to last a race distance but that was rightly binned after one year. Refuelling was still in in those days though so the cars still stopped.

Nobody has ever been 'forced' to stop though :icon_lol:

I never said they don't / won't stop, did I? The whole bet was as a result of your original claim they'd re-introduced refuelling during the current season. Read back through the thread if you don't believe me. Like I said before, priceless guff from you. Unless there's a change very soon it looks like you've lost the bet and you were wrong. Deal with it, Robert

Pay up man Rob you stupid twat. There is only one thing worse than someone who shirks out of paying up when they lose a bet and that's when they avoid paying when the winnings are going to charity. I'd advocate an IP ban if you don't cough up.

I believe he will pay (at the end of the season) its his refusal to believe he is wrong that's the interesting part.

man passes another man in first 20m - then spends 71 laps driving around the scenery - very exciting no?

more fun watching Button escape from kidnappers surely??

The ramblings of a madman.

I love Interlagos; The combination of fast & slow corners, the undulations and that almost never-ending climb around the last turn followed by an s-bend at the end of the pit lane. If you were given a blank sheet of paper to design a track you couldn't do better than that.

Shame it's buildings are crumbling to dust and its in a crime hotspot in one of the murder capitals of the world.

More fun than reading your posts, that's for sure.

Bit pissed off. Hamilton out, that twat Vettel wins, and the FIA's team still have the best chance with Alonso.

Not necessarily. Hamilton is 24 points behind Nando, so its mathematically possible. And Red Bull have got two driver in with a chance (in the fastest cars).

Having said that, its all over if Alonso finishes second next week.
