let this thread be a tribute to all things of a vast scale. I'll kick things off with ceausescu's palace of the people in bucharest. this place has to be seen to be believed. fucking huge. the world's largest civilian administrative building and the heaviest building in the world.

This is the big one.

An explosion to leave you dumbstruck, the Tsar Bomba, developed by the USSR and detonated on October 30, 1961 over the Arctic island of Novaya Zemlya, is by far the largest, most powerful nuclear weapon ever tested, and the single most potent explosive ever used by man. This behemoth H bomb’s yield of 50 megatons was equivalent to 10 times the total explosives used in WWII, including both Little Boy and Fat Man, the bombs that destroyed Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The Tsar Bomba’s facts speak for themselves. Designed to detonate at a height of 2.5 miles (4 km), its fireball was so huge it touched the ground while almost reaching the altitude of the deploying bomber 6.5 miles (10.5 km) in the air. Like a new sun, the dazzling orb was seen and felt almost 620 miles (1,000 km) from ground zero, and the heat from its initial flash could have caused third degree burns as far as 100 km (62 miles) away

that's one big mutha

They've got a bigger one that as well. I read somewhere can I fuck find it, that they have a bomb which could end the world, if they were getting turned over in a nuclear war.

Not odd sizes, it's SO and Wacky going on a 'girls' night out.

If that pic is real which I'm not convinced it is, one of the blonde lass tits is bigger than the lil lasses nappa.

crater.jpg

Barringer Meteor Crater, Arizona. Impact site of a nickel-iron meteorite that fell on earth 49,000 years ago. It was 150 feet across, weighed roughly 300,000 tons, and was traveling at a speed of 40,000 miles per hour. The force generated by its impact was equal to the explosion of 20 million tons of TNT.
