Less than a fiver. One of my favourite films, having been an English literature geek as a teenager.

Is anyone else surprised that Leazes likes a film about education like this? Iirc I thought this film was sentimental codswallop at the time. Really not keen on Williams either.

why are you surprised ?

It's the political brainwashing of kids by idiotic clueless lefties that gets on my tits with teachers, although I know some are not like that and are OK. This general impression has only been added to by some clueless arseholes at the school my daughter went to in her teens until she finished 2 years ago.

But the protagonist in Dead poet's society was a liberal leftie wasn't he? A trendy teacher who didn't believe in discipline? Filled the kids's heads up with all sorts of odd ideas? This is from memory like so could be wrong; just was surprised it was a film you would like.

Aye, it is. Where the hero is a Fancy Dan teacher. Hence my confusion why you like it.

Totally off topic here Leazes, but are you in The Shakey Hand Club? Curious about your avatar?

My Grandfather was a Steward and then Lodge master ( I think??) in Whitefriars lodge.
