So a small child spills a glass of pop on a laptop. The lights still come on but it won't fire up.

 

1. Is it daffy ducked.

 

2. If left to dry out for a while is there hope?

 

3. Is this something a computer shop can repair.

Put it in the oven on minimum heat.

It's probably fucked. Was it sticky, sugary pop (of course it was, it was in your house )

 

Try sticking it in a sealed airtight bag with a load of dried rice which will dry it out, but it's probably fucked.

 

Hang your kid up in the back garden and use him as a pinata to ensure it never happens gain.

Hairdryer sorted my old one. Depends on the amount of liquid really. Mine was spring water which was lucky.

I will, but I'm guessing you already know the rice in my cupboard is in a plastic packet and cooks in the microwave in two minutes
