That article went up with a slightly better headline earlier, "VW suspends media chief amid scandal of monkey exhaust test"

Yeah I've been watching that. That monkey shit was deplorable.

The second episode about the payday loan bloke isn't much better for your blood pressure. The total lack of self awareness as well - lamenting the fact that he's getting his race cars taken off him, with seemingly no thought to the financial hardship he's caused for his victims.

A first class cunt of a man. And his wife.

I've just been letting them play on this afternoon, he and his sidekicks constructed their own downfall with their greed and total lack of remorse for the pain and suffering they have caused with their criminal schemes. The darkest part of the episode was when they were interviewing his daughter and he was standing watching in the background, his daughter talking like she was programmed to say she was still proud of her father and how he is such a good man. He's clearly a psycho. Then when they asked him "Are you a moral man?", his answer was he was a businessman. What a cunt.

Turned the pharmaceutical one off, the short sellers were acting like heroes when clearly they are massive wankers aswell.

Just watching the HSBC one now.

 if you start feeling pain in your left arm, switch it off. Watching them one after the other is serious endurance.

Intense absorbing so much corruption when it's a tiny fraction of the fucked up world we live in.

It really is. And the lengths those in power will go to to protect the cunts as well.

The eye opening thing for me about the VW one was that it ended with them basically going "yeah, VW, BMW, Mercedes. They're all at it. We have the evidence. And nobody will do a fucking thing about it."

VW went onto being the biggest car manufacturer on the planet not too long after the scandal hit, I think that says it all. There'll be fall guys of course but the big corporations and companies go onto to be stronger every time.

I think the fact Jean-Claude Juncker went onto become the head of the EU tells you everything you need to know about how the EU thinks about corruption in the higher echelons.

There are several high profile criminal investigations here and it remains to be seen what is coming out of it. Because of the depths of the scandal I guess there will be some charges but it probably will take a couple of years even for trials to start.

I bought my VW Golf at 20k miles with a full service. Assumed it would have had its oil changed. Just taken it to the garage at 32k for another oil change only to discover the last one was actually done at 8k miles :(

Surprised the engines not fucked. Also due a cam belt which VW quoted £600 to change. Probably half at the local garage the robbing kernts

Seriously tempted to just service it and flog it for a Fiesta or something

Volkswagen for you, guess it's 4yrs old? VW insists it's done every 4years regardless of the mileage,  any other car it's 5yrs/50k minimum normally for the belt so you'd have got another year maybe. But tbh it's a big hit on any car, cheaper at an independent  but still prob a decent hit (i got charged 400 on my last car), the part will be like £50, then 3hrs maybe  4hrs labour (dealer will be chinning you on that)

Depends on the warranty from VW (if you still have one) if you can take it do an indie, some manufacturers will let warranty stand as long as you use their parts, others will void it soon as anyone but the dealer does the work.

Are you sure? I thought it legally was all okay if you used the authentic parts.

depends on the  manufacturer/warranty, Hyundai were grand as long as I bought the parts from them (including Oil) for it and got it stamped by an actual garage, otherwise they couldn't stand over the warranty or the warranty for that part (which is fair enough tbh can hardly stand over average joe not damaging something when installing)

BMW and a fair few others are a different story, part wise BMW are grand, they'll have something ordered in for you within 48hrs from germany. But overall warranty for the car or something like the paint on the car you have to bring it in for regular checks by them, (i'd say your audi will be similar)

the paint/bodywork warrenty is a regular argument for bmw owners, seen a fair few threads on the local car forums about people going back and forth with orange peel/rust issues on new cars and having to argue or go through the mainland contacts to get it sorted.

I don’t drive no Audi.

The wife had her Hyundai in for a warranty repair last year and they never checked her service history. And I asked BMW about the warranty when ordering parts from them to get my local mechanic to service it and they said it wasn’t an issue as long as genuine parts were used.

I thought you'd bought an A5 and couldn't use the automatic handbrake ?
the overall warranty for the car or the parts? i've heard of them being fairly fussy for warranty like, especially in reference to "mods" but in fairness those threads were generally about "M" cars which i'm assuming you've not pissed 70k on an m4 or something

Hyundai were great when i used them, 7yrs as well which is a decent amount of time

They’re five years now but were very straightforward to work with and even sent out a recovery truck at their cost.

I have a Mercedes now. I did the same thing with them. Got them to do the first service so they have it on their system then order the parts for my local guy to do it. I never did get to the bottom of that dodgy brake though. :scratchchin:
